Tay chats with new skating buddy Dr. Alex Moffett-Bateau, who despite having had a double hip replacement has learned how to skate, but before taking up a new activity she had to build up her strength to walk. In just four months she went from only being able to walk a couple blocks to walking 4 miles a day to now taking skate lessons with her teacher Red at Bronx Born Blading, to build up her skills as a skater. Alex hopes to one day participate in the NYC Skate Marathon as well as feel comfortable and confident enough to do street skating.
