Brought to an island under false pretenses, leads to secrecy as Marianne is brought to paint a portrait of a Heloise before her wedding day arrives. As the two become more involved in each other's lives, a relationship blossoms that is not only forbidden but also on a time restraint. A film with a beautiful story, great use of foreshadowing and a fantastic message as Celine Sciamma has created a story that will have you asking when are you finished? and the answer is "at some point you just stop, and you know it's done"

  • Acting Chops #5

In our brand new countdown, we discuss our favorite actors from the past two decades. A much harder list to narrow down we start off with Jake Gyllenhaal, a method actor to some degree who is often overlooked. Despite this, he is still one of the most underrated actors today who deserves more credit. Following him, we discuss the work of Shia LaBeouf who has gone through a lot over the years. Although he has still been able in recent years to make very powerful films and perhaps turn his career around for the better. Its time to see who makes "the cut"

  • Bronson

Welcome to his "hotel" as we discuss Britains most dangerous prisoner. Bronson follows the true story of Charlie Bronson played by Tom Hardy as we follow his journey in isolation of 34 years in prison. A film with great camera work and one of Tom Hardy's best performances. It does, however, lack a true resolution at the end. Nevertheless, still manages to captivate an audience as this film is absolute madness at its very best.
