  • Crimson Peak
Cool creatures and monsters, beautiful set designs, and some good gore. Today we discuss on of Zach’s favorite directors Guillermo del Toro with his goth romance “Crimson Peak”. That’s right everyone, it’s a Zach episode. All jokes aside a film that Zach is very passionate about, and Frank not so much. Our first episode where we disagree on the film (We broke up after this).

  • The Killing Of A Sacred Deer
On this episode, we discuss one of Franks favorite writers and directors, Yorgos Lanthimos with his masterpiece mystery/thriller film "The Killing Of A Sacred Deer". Produced by A24 this film is about Steven, a charismatic surgeon, who is forced to make an unthinkable sacrifice after his life starts to fall apart when the behavior of a teenage boy who he has taken under his wing turns sinister. From the eerie score to the famous awkward Lantimos dialogue, and the deep religious metaphors, this film really has a way of getting under the skin. A true work of art from a revolutionary filmmaker. This is one you have see.

Castellari "The Inglorious Bastards" Tarantino takes on the "mission movie" genre with a plan to kill Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. From Quentin's incomparable dialogue, crowning cinematography and transcending performances he's able to pull from Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Mèlanie Laurent, and Diane Kruger this is truly masterpiece film making at it finest.
