Amanda was just 12 years old when an anonymous online predator started extorting her for sexual content by threatening to share a screen grab he’d taken of her when she, after a ton of pressure, had flashed her breasts in a chat room.  Amanda refused and this piece of shit, internet goblin shared her topless photo with all of her friends and family on Facebook.  The relentless bullying that followed led Amanda to change schools three times before ultimately deciding suicide was her only option. Before Amanda died, she posted a YouTube video describing her horrific ordeal that immediately went viral after her death. Her story brought the issue of cyber bullying and sextortion to an international level.

In this weeks episode Vonia covers the first movie in the Lohannaissance! That’s right Tom Criminals, Ms. Lohan is back with an adorable holiday Rom Com, Falling for Christmas. While it’s totally cheesy and predictable it’s also totally watchable. 

Then Averyn continues the true story of Alex Murdaugh. When we left off Alex’s wife and son had been been murdered in the family’s hunting lodge. Police are still searching for suspects and a motive when another shocking 911 call came through. A man changing a tire on the side of the road had been shot in the head and that man was Alex Murdaugh. Hang on to your butts kids bc this story is about to get even darker and crazier than anyone could have ever imagined.

In this weeks episode Vonia covers the dark and twisty thanksgiving Rom Com(ish) film House of Yes. This 1997 gem stars an absolutely fabulous Parker Posey as Jackie O, the mentally unstable twin sister of Marty who is bringing his fiancée, Leslie (Tori Spelling), home for thanksgiving to meet his family. A raging storm cuts the power and as the night goes on this families dark secrets slowly start to reveal themselves to Leslie. Let’s just say the movie ends with Leslie running screaming from the family home.  

Then Averyn shares the true story of Alex Murdaugh and his family. The Murdaugh’s were a wealthy, powerful family in Hampton County, South Carolina. For nearly a century the Murdaugh men were the law in their town, seemingly feared and respected by the community, until a shocking double murder in the summer of 2021. On June 7th 2021 Maggie and Paul Murdaugh, wife and son of Alex Murdaugh were found executed in the family’s hunting lodge. Then, incredibly, just a few months later Alex Murdaugh was shot in the head while changing a flat tire. Who out there is targeting the Murdaughs? Strap in Rom Criminals because this one’s a Doozy!
