Serendipity + Vicki Morgan = Serendipity’s Mistress

In this weeks episode Vonia covers the 2001 Rom Com, Serendipity, where Jonathon and Sara meet cute at Bloomingdale’s right before Christmas and decide to let fate determine if they should meet again. Shockingly Vonia had never seen this one before and she’s not entirely convinced, but we can both agree that the nostalgia of early 2000’s New York City makes it worth a viewing. Then Averyn tells the true story of Vicki Morgan , a wannabe actress and model who had a 12 year affair with Alfred Bloomingdale, heir to the department store fortune. When she was tragically murdered less than a year after Alfred’s death rumors ran rampant… was it really her roommate or was it a larger conspiracy orchestrated by his wife and the Reagan administration? 

In this weeks episode Vonia revisits the classic Holiday Fantasy Rom Com, Scrooged. This movie follows cranky television executive, Frank Cross, as three creepy, kooky ghosts help him find his Christmas spirit! Then Averyn shares the true story of television executive, Bruce Beresford-Redman, who was convicted of murdering his wife Monica while on holiday in Mexico.

In this weeks episode Vonia and Averyn gush over the new Holiday Rom Com, Single All the Way. It’s so damn sweet and charming and we freaking love it! Not to mention it features the always incredibly funny Jennifer Coolidge… This movie had us at Joy To The World. Then Averyn shares a few of the craziest Christmas crimes the internet has to offer. Bath salts, Santa Con and Ceramic Squirrels…. Oh My God!

In this weeks episode Vonia fondly recalls the classic Rom Com, The Holiday! Complete with favorite moments, super cruel reviews ( it was rough to be Jack Black in December 2006) and a great argument for why the films ending is bullsh*t. Then Averyn tells the true story of Sophie Toscan Du Plantier who was murdered right before Christmas while staying at her charming, remote Irish cottage. Her families determination to get justice for Sophie is an ongoing battle that we hope ends up having a better ending than The Holiday.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… Holiday Movie time! In this weeks episode Vonia introduces us all to the brand spanking new Rom Com, Lovehard. This holiday romp serves up tons of laughs and a truly charming romance. The lesson here kids is to just be yourself because there is no one more lovable than the REAL you. Then Averyn tells the true story of Emma Perrier, a young french woman who was cruelly catfished by an older man only to have his deception lead her to true love. This story may very well get made into a movie one day.

Scent of A woman+ Tango Fever= Scent of A Woman Slain

In this weeks episode Vonia covers the Rom Com errr the Bro Rom Com Drama, Scent of a Woman. This movie is chock full of epic Al Pacino speeches, a doe eyed Chris O’Donnell whose character is woefully underpaid for the task at hand, prep school hijinks, and a tango that simply cannot be missed! Then Averyn shares the true story of Mildred Alison Rexroat, a tango instructor, so obsessed with the sultry dance that she is lured to her death by a serial killer with the promise of an exclusive tango dancing class.

Then Averyn shares the true story of Lauren Astley, an 18 year old with a bright future ahead of her, who became a victim of break up violence when her high school sweetheart couldn’t accept that she no longer wanted to be in a relationship with him.
