Each year in August, people from all over Ireland walk to the Marian shrine in the village of Knock, County Mayo, to raise money for Mary’s Meals. Traditionally, walkers set off from seven points across Ireland between 7th to 15th August, covering more than 200km over nine days, all arriving in Knock on the same day, 15th August. At Mary’s Meals, they use this opportunity to raise awareness and vital funds to help feed hungry children in some of the world’s poorest communities. Adrianne is joined in the studio by Fr. Eamon Kelly and Mary’s Meals’ Volunteer, Kevin Beirne to discuss their annual “Step by Step” walk, the work they do and how you can help www.marysmeals.ie
