Rounding Down with Chid

Send us Fan Mail

This week we welcome first time guest Rich (@BirthdayRich) formerly TallGirlsDMme which we imagine still applies.

Before we even had a chance to bring our planned guest we're visited by Larry Flynn not to be confused with Larry Flynt, what an interview!

We discussed a movie none of us had ever seen about a book none of us had ever read, Cloud Atlas. This story was about reincarnation and Sigh did not really enjoy this movie and it becomes very clear it's because he really didn't understand what it was about.

Rich began producing the show when he starts asking Chid and Sigh all the hard hitting questions, and it was a really nice change of pace.

We discuss emo, Rich's favorite band Metallica, and sitcoms!

Rich plugs our friend Aaron Crow this week, make sure you go comics please!

There comes a time in every podcasts timeline where you meet someone in Gabruses comments section who tells you what time it is. That is usually followed by having them on the podcast to explain what time is to you, obviously. Often after this you have their boyfriend on, and the cycle of making friends continues because the earth is a circle and time isn't real.

Zach Zuffante (@zzuffante) was brought into our lives by the offical time keeper of Rounding Down (@vmcapone612) and he is an Italian American treasure you won't soon forget!

Zach joined us to talk all things Italian including meatballs, cookies, deli's, Long Island, italian flag salutes, thanksgiving dishes, turkey parm, the ligma berry, and his artwork!

Old friends Amos (@WAforeskins), Brew (@somanybadtweets) join us with new to the show/friends Luka (@coolhandluka_) and Kelzor! This murders row of Pokémon trainers stop by to discuss 2016 released mobile game Pokémon Go!

We discuss the object of the game, going after tough to find Pokémon, why Amos hasn't been back on RD, the WELD cut, and we even get visits from the Synonym Song Singer and old friend the Sherbert Pervert.

By the end of the show the game sounds so fun that Sigh downloads the app (and has been playing ever since.)  WOW!

On this action packed episode we welcome our friend, the writer of 'It Eats What Feeds It' the very talented Aaron Crow (@aaronpcrow)

Aaron joins us to talk about anime with a couple of anime amateurs, more specifically we discuss the 1991's Japanese anime science fiction action thriller Roujin Z (老人Z, Rōjin Zetto, lit. "Old Man Z") which was written by Katsuhiro Otomo and directed by Hiroyuki Kitakubo.

We discussed the artwork and the story line of Roujin Z, Aaron suggests some cool anime movies and shows for us n00bs to watch, and we get into some really heavy anime topics including (subs vs. dubs and 'servicing' the viewer.

Everyone's favorite singer who replaces the words to songs with other words that mean the same thing stops by and it's revealed that he also has a key to CHID's house, not weird at all.

And we get a preview of what Aaron has lined up in the coming months with a new book he and his crew are working on!

Please show our guest some support, he is supremely talented and has some really special projects coming in 2022 and beyond.

They said it would never see the light of day, they told you it wasn't meant to be consumed by human ears, they said it was an episode too pure to be consumed by the casual listener, they said no one would want to hear jokes made literally a year ago about current events!

They were wrong, and we're going to prove it to them.

This week on Rounding Down we reach into the Rounding Down archives for a forbidden episode, THE WELD CUT.

Join your host @CHIDSPIN and co-host @SIGHFIERI as we welcome on a friend and early adopter of Rounding Down @CurtisWenis to discuss William Floyd Weld an American attorney, businessman, author, and politician who served as the 68th Governor of Massachusetts from 1991 to 1997.

We also discuss soda, the mid-west, when Curtis Wenis met Chid in person, and spam emails.

PLUS the much anticipated wait is finally over, we get to hear the Synonym Song Singer sing his hit song "We Didn't Begin the Inferno."

And in this corner weighing in at a combined weight of what would be considered proportionate for 3 men talking about wrestling on the internet, it's Benoit Balls (@Benoit_ballss) Chid "WISHBONE" Spin, and Sigh "Carmen San Francisco" Fieriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.

And in the other corner, the one the only fuck machineeeeeeeeeee Stewart Copelanddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd.

This week we had our good friend Benoit Balls on to talk wrestling, specifically AEW and what a great product they're producing from week to week.

We discuss what entrance music we'd choose, compare AEW to other wrestling outfits that have competed with the WWE, and talk to young Chid and young Benoit Balls about not giving up on wrestling in high school so girls will like them!

We even get visits from the Kangaroo King all the way from Jupiter Florida and the Sherbert Pervert!

This week we let our friends each pick a record they like to talk about on the show. THE Girl Wonder (@Girl_wonderX) selected one of her favorites Hole - Live Through This, while ManginiInABottle (@ManginiInABottle) picked Thrice - The Artist in the Ambulance.

You may be asking yourselves what do these records have in common, and we were able to draw some parallels but you'll have to listen to find out.

Plus we get visits from both the Synonym Song Singer AND another visit from The SHERBERT PERVERT, what an absolutely star studded cast! Wowowow and Chid and Sigh were there too.

Jeff Bridges once said "I do a lot of ceramics" and so does our guest!  This week we had the pleasure of talking the darkest of all the arts, the CERAMIC arts with our friend Amy Smoot (@amy_sm00t) She stopped by CHID's chambers to tell us about her craft, how she got started, Sigh learns that you don't have to address people who got their masters degree as master before you say their name, and we get a visit from a new friend(?) the Sherbert Pervert.
