The Royals had a day off on Thursday, which means we only get one game to talk about -- but it was a win!  The Royals come from behind to win 2-1 against the Cleveland Guardians, avoiding a sweep in an otherwise mediocre series.  Of course, these things matter little in a dead season, but we can look ahead with what we have now -- what's to become of Zack Greinke?  Should the Royals extend Nick Pratto?  Many questions asked and answered on another special dual podcast!

The Royals played a couple of games against the Cleveland Guardians and lost both of them despite competent starting pitching.  Some mistakes here and there added up and ultimately made for some disappointing games, but it's not all bad.  I mention how great MJ Melendez has been for the Royals this season, and how not great Hunter Dozier has been for the Royals this past few years.

After a weekend of labor, we find the Royals victorious from their 3-game series against the all-threatening Detroit Tigers.  One of these games featured a MASSIVE offensive outburst from the whole lineup, most notably a 4-hit game from "fourth outfielder" Nate Eaton, and a three-run home run from Bobby Witt Jr., who now finds himself comfortably within the 20-20 club.  That's 20 stolen bases and 20 home runs on the season, and get this... it doesn't look like it was that hard for him to do.  Today I'm gonna talk about BWJ at length and what his season has been like (and what it could have been like) for the Royals.

I AWAKEN FROM MY SLUMBER.  After a hiatus that went three times longer than expected, your local basement-dwelling weirdo is back to talk about baseball.  I'm sorry that you have to listen to me again, how will you ever recover?

The Kansas City Royals finish up their four-game series with the Chicago White Sox by bullying their bullpen repeatedly to win three out of four.  The Royals are now 6-2 on the longest homestand of the season, which means there's nothing the Dodgers can do to hurt us.  You know, the Los Angeles Dodgers.  The, uh, winningest team in baseball history, apparently.  Like I care!!!!!!!!!!!

The Royals had a lengthy day full of mostly fun baseball, as they played two games against the Chicago White Sox.  Brady Singer was absolutely dominant, a thing that is becoming increasingly common for him, and Vinnie Pasquantino homered in BOTH games!  Not much to complain about today, so I have some extra time to shout out the Quad Cities River Bandits with their huge W in the Minor League Field of Dreams game yesterday.  How cool is that?!

Through one of the most bizarre chain reactions in baseball, Eric Hosmer is back in KC after five years!  Yep, since becoming a free agent after 2017, Hos has never stepped into Kauffman Stadium again until now.  KC fans gave him a warm welcome,  which he fully deserves, and that was only some of the good that happened in that game.  After a few slow games, the Royals bats came to life to defeat the Boston Red Sox 7-3, also thanks to some decent pitching by Kris Bubic.

I'm sure no one else is going to use this title for their own articles, podcasts, videos or whatever!  Very original!  Only the best here at Royal de Lux.  Anyway, Royals made some trades, which is somewhat hard to believe.  But then you realize it's only the trades they were more-or-less forced to make, in other words they got rid of the guys that were pretty much one foot out the door, and held on to the actually valuable pieces that would've fetched a good return.  Royals!
