This podcast is double-length for the absolutely LOADED day of baseball we got yesterday; it started with one of the worst games the Royals have played in 2022 (which says a lot given that we've had some baaaaaaaad games this year), and was followed up with a pivotal game for this team and organization.  Has Brady Singer truly evolved and will he finally reach his potential?  Also, how about MJ Melendez being an absolute workhorse yesterday?  Unfortunately, these things won't save an offense that cannot score to save their lives--which they often throw away on the base paths out of utter desperation.

Although I planned on only doing series recaps for a little while, an emergency podcast had to be made because HOLY HECK.  THE ROYALS DID A THING.  Terry Bradshaw was fired as the Royals' hitting coach yesterday and was replaced by Alec Zumwalt and Mike Tosar, who have previously worked with both major and minor leaguers in the Royals organization.  I talk about what this could possibly mean for the Royals moving forward and speculate as to whether or not this is the end of the managerial shuffling.

Some good things kinda happened; Kris Bubic has been optioned to AAA and Jonathan Heasley gets to take his spot in the rotation.  But this move comes at least a day late, as the Royals take a huge risk by throwing a bullpen game in a grueling stretch of the season with no off days in sight.  And it's time for more Cal Eldred complaining.

The Royals have lost again, and it seems like the boiling point has been reached among fans and even players.  This organization is incompetent.  And although they would like us to believe it will get better soon, no one is convinced it will mean anything.  At this point, the only thing that seems left for the Royals is a full-blown revolution.

This is an episode I really did not want to do, which is kind of why I've been away for a little bit.  I didn't want to have to rant about Ryan O'Hearn for the 300th time in my life, I've already spewed my opinions on this organization's commitment to play everywhere on the internet, but now that I have a podcast it too has been exposed to the Ryan O'demic.  But that's not the only thing concerning me with the Royals, today I'm going to air it all out and express my confusion and frustration as to what this team is doing in such a frustrating season, while offering solutions as to what can be done to make things right so that everything can (hopefully) get back on track.

Oh hey, did you enjoy Tuesday's game?  Well, TOO BAD!  We're back to terrible starting pitching and non-existent offense!  WOOOOOOOO!  Kris Bubic melted down for the third or fourth or idk I lost counteth time this season, leading to an immediately disappointing game that probably made everyone in attendance regret buying a $20 parking pass.  OK, I'm being like really mean about this, but it's not like there's a whole lot to talk about today.  Hopefully reinforcements continue to arrive to Kansas City to get the season back on track.

The Royals let the kids play for a change, and it had an immediate, immense payoff.  Edward Olivares slaps four hits around the field and Bobby Witt Jr. golfs his first home run of the year.  They and MJ Melendez in his MLB debut contribute to a big offensive outburst from the Royals, one that has been desperately needed for this struggling team.

Did something happen last weekend?  Oh, many things that I saw up close and personal... but who cares about that.  MJ MELENDEZ IS HERE!!  One of the most hyped catching prospects in the MLB and the likely successor to Salvador Perez, MJ Melendez is making his much-anticipated debut either today or tomorrow as the Royals take on the Cardinals.

The Royals take two of three from the championship-hopeful White Sox, which is a great sign after getting swept in Seattle and makes the upcoming weekend a little less daunting.  Now we have to deal with the Super Hot Yankees this weekend, but before we get into any of that, we have to talk about Adalberto Mondesi, because it might be the last time we do so for a very long time.
