Migum has been around Restoration Therapy since the early days and is a huge contributor to the model and the community. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Nevada (also licensed and seeing clients in CA).

Migum is clinically gifted in many areas, but one of the areas we focused on in this episode is cultural and intergenerational family issues, specifically among Koreans. We loved her insight and emphasis on anxiety, and the discussion around forgiveness in the RT model. We also learned some things about K Dramas (specifically When Life Gives You Tangerines).

The latter part of the episode we focus on two excellent therapeutic interventions that she has been working on and utilizing in her work -- Quicksand Analogy and the yet to be named intervention (maybe Incompetent or Transitions intervention).

When Life Gives You Tangerines

This episode has been a long time coming and we are so excited to present to you Dr. Miyoung Yoon Hammer.

Dr. Hammer is Associate Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy and Chair of the Department of Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary.

She is also the co-author of Advances and Techniques in Restoration Therapy, and has written a lot of beautiful articles on a number of topics that I highly recommend you check out.

Not only has she been a contributing member to the development of RT, but she has also taught and trained and mentor a lot of members of our community over the years. So it was with great excitement that we had her on this episode. We loved hearing her genesis story with Restoration Therapy (there are some great Terry and Sharon stories in here) and the way she integrates the model theologically.

We had a lot to cover and didn't get around to all of it, so we are looking forward to having her back on very soon.

In this episode we are back with Dr. Tanner Hargrove (see bio below) and his wife Jet. The two of them are a dynamic duo, and pulled off the lion's share of the work for the RT Summit in Amarillo, TX this last February.

We wanted to pick their brain on all things hospitality -- from creating a hospitable experience for a conference, to the importance of hospitality for The Hideaway Experience marriage intensives they help run...down to the role of hospitality in all of our clinical and private practices.

If you attended the Summit in February in Amarillo, Tanner's interventions in his couple's workshop had everyone talking. So we wanted to have him on the podcast again to talk about some of his interventions.
