Today Tina shares how transitions of any kind bring up feelings of being "out of control!" She offers tips for how to re-gain control during those times, how to ditch the perfectionism - Tina actively works through her own perfectionism while recording this podcast episode and wanting to delete it! Finally, Tina talks about how our brains tell us that we don't have the ability to do something, until we ACTIVELY prove it wrong. She explains that when we do something new, our minds instantly look for all of the reasons as to why our goals are "out of our ability" but once we push past that and keep showing up anyway, it doesn't take long for those doubts to subside and our confidence to shine through! We JUST have to get past that initial negative self talk - and P.S. EVERYONE has it. - So go do something you currently think you "don't have the ability" to do! You'll see!

"Hi everyone! I'm Chrissy, a 36 year old mother of two. I started this program back in November with the free challenge week and it had me hooked. I always had dreams of completing a half marathon, but never took the time to properly train. I have realized that it is so much more than just running!
I woke up at 5:30 am, at the beach, to RUN?!
I sat on a bench watching the sunrise, listening to the waves, and reflected on how much my life has changed over the last few years. I cannot stress enough how making a decision to live my life for myself has transformed the way in which I experience this world. Emotional freedom to embody love and breathe in deeply the peaceful nature of walking through life authentically. It has been worth every hard decision, every tear, and every risk. Most especially the risk of the unknown. So if you can feel that you want "more" in your bones... never let up. Because on the other side of all the challenging stuff is the most beautiful reward - and I'm here for it. "

It is my absolutely pleasure to share one of my FAVORITE conversations with the INREDIBLE Jayne Epaloose. Jayne is a beautiful journey with an amazing story of how she faced challenges early in her life that led to an life in the Navy full of adventure where she worked her way from the bottom to the top by showing up and being her imperfectly, perfect self and never giving in when things got tough. She inspires her Sole Mate family daily and we are beyond grateful to have her on our team! Find out how she wakes up at 4am to take on the world before the sunrises and never sways from what she sets her mind to. She is truly an incredible human being.
From Jayne: "Hi new friends!! I’m a 47 year old retired Navy lady & mom of a 14 year old exceptional son who is now a school counselor that works with our fearless leader Tina! I first started my running journey last winter. This quote from Kerry Washington still stands with me today… "I realized that I don't have to be perfect. All I have to do is show up and enjoy the messy, imperfect and beautiful journey of my life." you’ll be amazed what you can do just by showing up. The best part about Sole Mates is that each step, each workout, each time you show up…. You win! And we cheer you! Can’t wait to show you all the runner love!!"
Tina shared the importance of taking time to get away and connect with those you care about because LIFE IS HARD. She also shares a tip for increasing productivity, maximizing efficiency and how breaking your days into "quarters" could keep you from "throwing in towel" when something doesn't go right in your day. It's all about little hacks for handling the challenges of this beautiful life, so we can make time for the things that matter most to us.

My name is Maddie Loring. I’m a proud mom of 2, wife, teacher and dog mom! I decided to join Tina’s program approximately one month postpartum, because I wanted to be the best version of myself for my family, while introducing healthy habits to our daughters. Also, I used to run, and missed it so much. I feel blessed to be training for my SECOND 10K, which I would have laughed if I told you that was in my plans. Truly, Tina takes those who believe they can and they DO! Plus, you make incredible friends throughout this process! If I can run three months postpartum, anyone can run!! I cannot wait to watch each of you on your running journey! We are all here for you every step of the way! LET’S DO THIS!"
