In this episode, I'll answer the q, why does rejection hurt so much? I'll also share a simple insight into one of the biggest misunderstandings around rejection. When I learned this, as someone who takes getting rejected extremely personal, it changed everything!
At the end of the show, I invite you to join me in my upcoming webinar: Get Over Your Ex. If you're struggling to let go of someone, or if you get really hung up on someone you barely know, you won't want to miss this.

Some of you may know that a not-so-secret passion of mine is personal finance. It may my love of number crunching, graphs, or the satisfaction of reaching numerical goals, but I love it.
I met Hillary in a women's podcasting group on Facebook, and of course she caught my eye because of her expertise in personal finance. I read more of her stuff, I realized that yes... she'll help you crunch the numbers, but she also coaches her clients around the mindset of their money. And she specifically works with women. When I reached out to her to ask if she had opinions about men, dating, relationships, and money she said, 'ooooh yeah.'
So here it is!
Here’s what you’ll learn:
About Hilary:
Hilary Hendershott, MBA, CFP® is the Founder of Hilary Hendershott Financial and the host of Profit Boss Radio, the podcast for women + money.
Hilary is a financial coach, money mindset expert, and experienced wealth manager. She has worked for nearly 15 years with women who want to preserve their wealth, make it grow, and eliminate financial stress once and for all.
She’s a TEDx speaker, and she’s regularly featured in Forbes, BBC On-line, Investopedia, NPR's Marketplace and Women 2.0. She was recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 Entrepreneur, and has been interviewed multiple times by the Wall Street Journal. Her articles are syndicated nationally and she’s a columnist in DailyWorth’s Connect platform for financial experts. With more than 30 television appearances, she’s a go-to personal finance expert for NBC where they call her "The Investor's Voice of Reason."
In 2015, Hilary announced her campaign to empower one million women to become millionaires. Her passion is empowering women to take control of their money and happiness, and achieve their financial goals.

I’m flying solo this episode for the first time in quite a while, but it seems to be a perfect thing to do coming off the Date Yourself Challenge.
Y’all, the Date Yourself Challenge BLEW me away.
When I ran the challenge back in February, 175 women went through the challenge. This past round, over 600 women did the challenge.
The energy was incredible, and I can’t tell you how many women joined with ‘little expectation’ of how it’ll help and were then blown away by the results they got.
Women reported feeling more confident, happier, and more like themselves in years.
Anyways, this Ask V is the first episode of its kind. I find that I get asked the same questions again + again. Instead either a) answering it over + over and/or b) not giving a thorough answer {the comments in the Facebook group can only do so much!}, I thought I'd occasionally do an Ask V episode to answer common questions.
The question is, I get asked all the time about my skincare regimen. And this just happens to be a topic I could go on + on about.
So in this first Ask V episode, I'll answer that question {it's probably not what you think!}, AND while I'm at it, I'll share with you my 3 other top self-care habits.

Today on the podcast I interview Andrea Hood, she’s a health coach + co-host of the podcast Badass + Bare.
When I first asked Andrea onto the show she was unsure of how she could be helpful. She's never actually dated! But, she's 11 years strong with her hubby, so I wanted to know how she does it, and how they keep their relationship fresh + exciting.
She also shares her story of how both her + her husband come from a long line of divorce, but both worked hard to not repeat the same patterns + mistakes their family members made. I really loved this conversation in particular, because whether we like it or not, our parents have a huge influence on how we see ourselves + how we relate to others. And the more we resist becoming like our parents, the more we become like them. Andrea shares how she broke that cycle + is creating a new pattern for her relationship with her husband.
As you listen, here's what you'll learn:
About Andrea:
Andrea Hood is an Entrepreneur and co-creator of Badass & Bare podcast, inspiring ear candy for the lady in flux. Andrea’s mission is to empower women to live authentically and stand in their own truth. When Andrea found herself unhappy, overweight, and lacking energy and excitement in her mid-20’s, she knew she needed a serious life overhaul and she set out to do just that. By surrounding herself with a community of like-minded women, and following the lead of mentors and coaches she invested in, Andrea was able to pull herself out of her funk and create the life she had always envisioned. She was able to get the clarity she needed to discover her true purpose in life, to which she does on her own terms and unapologetically, and now she guides other badass women to do the same.
