Today’s episode is about our experience living in Aberdeen as international students. We’ll be talking about what we liked and disliked about living here and why we are moving away after graduating.
My first episode back and starting it off easy by sharing some book recommendations and spilling the tea on what's been underwhelming.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments or dm:)
In today's episode, Christos and I talk about why and how you can join a Luxembourgish party as a foreign resident.
There's been a long silence on here but with summer starting and more free time i hope to go back to my usual schedule of 1 episode per week.
Feel free to write to me with content ideas or requests.
In today’s episode, Christos and I sat down and realized that we went to the same school: The European School. We talked about issues like identity, why it is so difficult for Luxembourg to keep its EU students in the country, and what it means to be a European citizen. Then, we seguewayed into why it is that people don’t stay or come back to Luxembourg. We touched on cost of living and the lack of political representation of immigrants in the Luxembourgish government. In a nutshell: the "Eurobubble" of Luxembourg, a phenomenon where immigrants do not partake in decision-making in Luxembourg, and consequently don’t participate in society.
I highly recommend, for anyone who's interested in learning more about Luxembourg, to check out Christos' instagram @christosfloros.
Today, I had Ray on the podcast and we reminisced about high school a little. Then we got into the main topic of today: why we do or don’t want children. I think it’ll be an interesting one for everyone…
Also check out her YouTube video "stop asking me when I’ll have kids" and her channel "Rayglisse" (I am a subscriber and find it really entertaining).
More episodes with Ray coming out in the next weeks!
