The wonderful Kirsty Baker, the "underdogs" of the ultramarathons in Australia that came about as her nickname from her 100 miler Ultra debut chats with Host of the RUNWITHALLI LIVE Podcast, Coach Alli about all things relating to ultramarathons, running, marathon running, training hacks and other fun things about training in Australia from Kirsty herself. BEWARE!
Kirsty Baker is a Nurse on a medical ward and she is an ultra runner. She lives on her family farm in Queensland, Australia.
In her own words, "Running for me started with 10KM at the end of 2016, which then quickly went on to my first Half Marathon, first Marathon followed by two 50KM races in 2017. 2018 was when I completed my first 56KM race and 100 Miler. 2019 was the year I was concentrating on improving my 50KM and I decided it was time to run 100KM! I'd missed that distance out before completing my 100 miler. My passion is to promote the running of all distances. I didn't grow up running and I didn't start early. I want to show people that it's never too late to start and never too late to push your own personal boundaries!"
Kirsty shares her day-to-day journey with others and speaks to others about their personal challenges. She tries to show her passion and love for the sport and helping others by leading her tribe by example and showing others that nothing comes easily in life. Kirsty believes that having a positive mindset and outlook is everything and will guide you to your own success along your own journey and opportunities ahead.
