When I first started blogging back in 2011, building an email list seemed like the Holy Grail. I remember one author specifically saying that once you hit 10,000 email subscribers, that's when publishers start knocking on your door for book deals.

Now, it seems like a lot of people are focused on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and growing other platforms. However, I wanted to specifically talk today about why I think email still really matters.
