Palm Sunday marks the day Jesus entered Jerusalem triumphantly and was unveiled as the King of the Jews and the promised Messiah. He did not enter Jerusalem with an entourage of horses and their chariots but riding on a donkey to show that the best way to exercise Lordship is through humility and meekness.

Since the fall, man has tried different ways to install other lords to serve his shifting interests. Whereas God created man in his image, the fall resulted to man creating God in his image and the result is idolatry but God is not without witness that only He is the true Lord.

Man has tried various ways to restore his lordship over creation without success. Just like Adam and Eve sewed leaves of fig tree to cover their nakedness, every self made effort to restore what we lost is doomed to fail. Only God can restore the dominion that man lost in Eden

Although God created man and gave him dominion, man lost that dominion through the fall. Rebellion against God caused the rest of creation to rebel against man. Only in God can that dominion be restored.

God not only created man as an object to be ruled but has indeed delegated his Lordship to man. God created man and gave him dominion over the work of his hands. Man therefore has the power to lord over God's creative work.

God is the source of all Lordship. Having created the universe and everything in it including ourselves, He has the right to be Lord of all.

Unless God is involved in our pursuit of victory, what we get will end up being empty victory. Only God the author of life can give us ultimate satisfaction and political victory becomes empty when God is not involved.

At any moment, God always has his faithful remnants who remain true to him irrespective of what is happening out there. They do not follow the cloud for evil nor do they bend their knees to worship political idols

We must always ensure that we keep to God's standards of holiness and righteousness when making political decisions. God favoured the Egyptian midwives because they chose to fear him instead of following a political decision.

There is a God who protects the trodden grass when political bulls fight. His name is a strong tower and the righteous run to it where they find safety
