One main reason why people get into politics is for self preservation and be able to advance their own agenda. That explains why they will tell you all manner of things to manipulate you to back them. It suffices to know that God is a shelter for his children. He is able to protect his own even in the worst of circumstances. We do not need connections or self preservation mechanisms but what we need is complete faith and reliance on God.

In a world that is ever changing, the only way we can be confident about the future is to trust one that has never changed. He says He is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. Politicians can never be trusted to keep their promises but God's promises are yes and Amen to those who place their trust in him. Don't trust the political, trust God.

When we make important decisions in life without praying over then, we reject God's guidance and direction. This is the same thing in politics where the leaders we vote for must be guided by our praying and seeking God on the same
