Evil might appear to win but God has vowed that no matter how long it takes, evil will never overcome good. It was impossible for death to hold Jesus

God may delay in executing judgement but many times He is waiting for people to repent. His silence and lack of immediate speed does not mean He approves the wrongdoing, He has a redline that we must never cross.

Politics are driven by financial enablement but its good to know that money will always be limited and its not everything that can be bought by money

God rarely uses the mighty and powerful to accomplish his purposes. He uses the seemingly insignificant to get great things done. It was not King Saul and his army who saved Israel but rather a young boy called David.

God is an expert in avenging the powerless and defending the justice of his children. King Saul made a political decision and although he died, God demanded his descendants be killed because of a political decision he had made.

God is an expert at arousing evil to defend the cause of justice for his children. We may do certain evil things thinking God is unconcerned but with every sowing, there is a harvest and one day, we shall reap from the evil we sowed.

Quite often we get into the temptation of thinking that we can influence God because we have the numbers. God saves irrespective of the numbers we have on our side and does not necessarily side with the majority.

God is a respecter of no persons and no matter how great a person is unless they submit to God's sovereign will, He cab depose them and get someone in their place. That is what happened to King Saul in the scriptures. Even in politics, God is an expert in replacing.

The scriptures reminds us that what we sow is what we shall reap. The same happens even in matters politics. As you take political sides, ensure you pray and seek God's will for you. Do not vote for an individual who will influence many aspects of your life without praying over it. When you pray over it, you will be able to confidently stand and say, Lord I sought your will and guidance on this matter

Politics present a moment when many compromise on their values and relegate God on the sidelines as they pursue their political agendas. It is that time when idols of tribalism, hatred and unfounded propagandas are erected for followers to worship. Like Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego, God is still looking for people who will stand in the gap and speak for him. Who is one the Lord's side?
