It is easy to scatter what you have not build. Jesus Christ came to seek and to save what was lost. He is calling on us to gather with him instead of scattering and one way we can do that is by extending forgiveness. Do you gather with Christ or do you scatter.

It is very easy for us to be harsh in judging others especially if they are weak in an area that we are strong at. Before judging others, it is important we look into the mirror and see if we are guilty of the same offence.

In washing the feet of his disciples, just emphasised on the need of getting right with God on the areas where we get messed up by sin. Although believers are clean and their eternity with God assured, there is need to get right with God and one another on area of daily conflict and entanglement with sin which is similar to washing our feet

Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy. How is your mercy account? Jesus made it clear that unless we extend mercy and forgiveness to others, we may find ourselves crying for mercy and getting none. He who refuses to show mercy destroys the same bridge that they may need to use in coming days. God is faithful to ensure mercy comes your way when you extend mercy to others.

Our forgiveness should not be superficial but should come from deep down our hearts. Unless we deliberately choose to forgive and let go, we may also not experience the forgiveness that God extends to us when we go to him. Forgiveness is costly and it is important to count the cost of forgiveness if we are to avoid revisiting the issue and discussing it with others in future. God is always willing to give you the grace to forgive when it appears impossible

Sin brings enmity between us and God. We lack the courage in our sinfulness to approach God and that is why He takes the initiative to invite us to reason together with him. When we reason with God He extends forgiveness to us and washes away our sins and clothes us with his righteousness.

It is normal for humans to forget although its difficult to forget people who have hurt us or taken advantage of us. The beauty about God however is that He is a God who chooses to forget our sins when we confess them to him. God has the power to forget because when He forgives, He creates us anew and opens a new chapter with us.

God is an expert in turning hearts towards forgiveness. He heals human relationship by moving antagonising hearts towards one another. He moved the heart of Esau towards the heart of his brother Jacob and instead of seeking revenge, he embraced forgiveness. What relationship can God heal for you today? Trust the mover of hearts to heal your relationship for He holds power in forgiveness.

Even with our best intentions, many are the times when we fail. We don't become failures when we fall, we become failures when we refuse to rise and move on. God forgives when we confess our sins to him and a fall is not the end. Let us purpose not to break when we fall but to bounce back

The only we can progress peacefully in life is when we are assured that God has forgiven us of our sins. Moses was careful to warn the Israelites that if they did not deal with sin in their lives, eventually those sins would find them out. Unpardoned sins have a way of following us bringing judgement when we least expect. Why not embrace the grace that comes with forgiveness?
