Episode 13 - this week’s podcast is sugar-fuelled by gluten free doughnuts thanks to our absolute hero of a guest, Ryan Panchoo, who brought us some tasty treats to eat during this interview! Ryan is the founder of Borough 22, a gluten free vegan doughnut company based in London (who deliver across the UK). Borough 22 is a business bourne out of Ryan’s love for his family - with no decent products on the market that would satisfy their multiple dietary requirements, Ryan initially set out to simply create a delicious treat that his wife and children could eat.

Fast forward several years Ryan now has a full time doughnut empire on his hands! We chatted to Ryan about why kids make the best recipe reviewers, the early days of his business, road tripping to the South West with a car full of doughnuts, using social media to grow your business, getting stocked Selfridges, having to rapidly learn the ropes, why sometimes you need to take a step back in order to improve, leaving his day job, how to safely produce gluten free products and the best egg substitutes in vegan baking.
