Eris is known as the goddess of chaos and discord and she is the sister to Aries, the god of war. She fights against oppression and is known for shadow work, fear, and fighting for collective shadow. Her most famous story is the “Uninvited Guest” where she is deliberately not invited to a wedding party in which all the other gods and goddesses were invited. Eris crashes the wedding party and throws a golden apple, with the inscription "To the fairest,” into the middle of the celebration causing a fight between Aphrodite, Hera and Athena. This action helped to spawn the Trojan Wars.

 

Eris is also a dwarf planet that was discovered in 2005. Eris is about the same size as Pluto and much denser with a much longer orbit of 559 years. Eris may well be a disruptive energy that when combined with Pluto becomes transformative and possibly destructive.
