Mary Anne "Mamie" Cadden was a midwife, abortionist, and murderer. She was born in 1891 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA to the Irish parents of Patrick and Mary Cadden. In 1895, Cadden and her family returned to Ireland where she would later become one of the twentieth century's most notorious female criminals.
