What does hair represent in your spellwork and offerings? In this week’s episode, the witches answer a listener’s question about using hair in your Magickal practice. Why is there a difference between hair that has fallen out naturally, as in a hairbrush, and hair that was specifically cut with the intention of making it an offering?
Burning hair has been used for thousands of years, and it's been connected to the cleansing of the crown chakra, allowing for the removal of negativity and a reset. There are several different cultures that burn the hair of the dead to not only bring them closer to the living, but to also cleanse the negativity for them and to help alleviate pressures, such as generational hexes and curses, and the energy of families.
Hair is seen as a very powerful genetic resource because basically, it has the same contents as blood. How much of your identity is wrapped up in your hair?
