Overlanding 101 - Choosing the Right Rig

There are tons of questions that you need to answer when looking for and deciding on a rig to build. Personally I drive a Toyota FJ Cruiser. I also have a Honda Adventure Motorcycle I am in the process of building. I also have my eye on a Subaru that I might tinker with.  Three different solid rigs for overlanding that would give me three completely different experiences. Everyone has their own preferences, love and need that must be met, but the main thing is that you get out there and go. It doesn't matter what you have (up to a certain point), what matters is that you go and get the experience. You cannot learn everything you need to know from watching YouTube and asking newbie questions on Social Media. You need first-hand on-site experience and that only comes from making yourself get out there and explore. Without the gear, without the built rig, learning for you.
