God will let the remaining Israelites make slaves of their enemies. Then he will encourage his followers to literally taunt the very people that God sent to kill the Israelites in the first place. Yes, that's right — ridicule, tease, and bully survivors of the folks you have just killed and enslaved, who were only drawn into your fight because of God. We learn in kindergarten not to make fun of others, to be gracious losers, and to be humble victors. Yet somehow God missed this lesson in humanity and is just the absolute worst.

The Proclamation Against Babylon. Isaiah gives this creepy speech about how the Babylonians are gonna get smashed and not in the good way. Babies will be murdered and women will be raped. It's all very exciting and I can't wait to get baptized. Just kidding. This book is gross and I'm so tired of trying to find new ways to say God is a dick. But honestly? There's no such thing as God, so what I really mean to say is that people are horrendous and Christians are the effing worst. But! Yay Ohio for codifying abortion rights into state law! And legal weed is on the comeup! Woohoo!

The Righteous Reign of the Branch of Jesse / Israel Reclaimed and Reunited / The Peace of the Reign of the Messiah. Wife is unhappy with how "New Testament" this is starting to feel, so Husband suggests we look at more Jewish study references. We agree that Christians should stop shunning vegetarians since it's literally foretold that meat-eaters will start grazing instead. It's almost like they didn't read their own Bible. Huh.

Husband and Wife answer questions about tools, thrones, virgins, and Renfield. The story so far: God tells his people that if they don't worship him, he's gonna kill most of 'em. We're supposed to think the fact that he's not killing 100% of them is a kindness — a generous show of his beneficence. Apologists can't understand why we wouldn't be grateful. The LORD's Anger against Israel (cont.) / The LORD's Use of Assyria. Isaiah speaks as God speaking as the Assyrian King, and it's not confusing at aaaaall. God calls the Assyrians a bunch of tools and then says he's gonna kill most of his people and the two people that are left should not be scared because murder and mayhem isn't terrifying in any way whatsoever. Husband gets pretty worked up over how much of a dick God is. It's a lot.

God is Big Mad and throwing a tantrum so a bunch of people have to die. His Chosen Ones didn't choose him back, which is a super bummer for Sky Daddy. The thing is, there's no way the people could have known who to follow because even God admits that the leaders were guiding them astray, so basically his feefees are all hurt because the people guessed wrong. That's like deciding to murder anyone who doesn't break 1000 on their SATs. What a pointless endeavor and a waste of life. Good grief. It always bears repeating: God is a dick!
