This lecture discusses key ideas from the ancient philosopher Plato's work, The Republic, in particular book 4.

Specifically it examines his discussion of what the virtue of justice is and where it is situated within the ideal city and in the human soul. As it turns out, justice is different than the other three virtues - wisdom, courage, and temperance, in that it is located in the proper relations of the parts of the soul to each other.
