Getting groovy with CARSON ELLIS!!!

Carson Ellis is the illustrator behind "Wildwood", "Home", and The Decemberists. Join us on her farm as we give advice for young artists, talk about her trajectory, and how saying No can give you the power of space and focus.

Today we are joined by a writer, an activist/artist, a businesswoman and

a senior citizen to chat and answer your most burning questions on

love, dating, roommates, and rumors!

Today on the podcast I'm so happy to welcome Ian MacKaye for a long conversation about my Minor Threat cover band, the joys of touring and the business of art.

This episode is dedicated to the loving memory of Anne Winter, and was made possible in part by Steve & Maya Schroeder.

Michelle

Tea & Nicole discuss what to do if someone starts a rumor about

you. Then we are treated to a long-form discussion on creating graphic

memoir  and coming out as crazy with comic artist ELLEN FORNEY, author

of the NY Times Bestselling book, "Marbles".

Music manager/business woman TARA PERKINS joins me to talk about the

politics behind paying artists, the time she defended her traveling art

show on FOX news, an incident on Sister Spit tour, and MORE.

Today on the podcast, we have several lesbians (okay, one is pan-sexual).

Beth Ditto returns to review hotel fruit,

Stevie

Ann reads us the best gay words from The Lesbian Lexicon, and Jennifer

Camper (Queers & Comics Conference) talks comics, women, & how

mermaids have sex. Tune in!

Today we are joined by epic mermaid/witch/pirate Dame Darcy!!!!

Dame

Darcy is the genius cartoonist behind Meatcake. She's been prolifically

cartooning and running a small empire for over 25 years.

We talked

about the business of making & selling art, being a mermaid, the

goddess returning, appearing on reality dating shows (like Blind Date

& Flava of Love), and the time she was thwarted in auctioning off a

lock of Kurt Cobain’s hair.
