In this episode in the park we talk about who are you in the moment, the instigator, the sharer or the receiver in a situation, we discuss what drives an instigator. Rachel becomes distracted by some visiting birds but we get it back together and move on.
Do you spread the ripple or are the the shoreline there to stop that ripple, how high is your wave? (Apparently we have moved from the automotive analogies to thoughts of the lake today?)
Your reaction to a situation may depend on where you are in your healing journey.
The 3 gates - Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
Those are the highlights but of course we don't take the direct route in this conversation, because that wouldn't be like us at all! If you enjoy the conversation please share, or give us a review on social media or where ever you listen to us. You can reach us on Instagram at @salad_sage or email us at [email protected]
Along with information for this week's coming new moon, we talk about rejection, social media, when do you become accountable for your reaction to your triggers, gurus, who are you in the experience, along with clutter, and paddleboards (we really cover a lot of ground). I swear these episodes get harder to name every episode as we touch so many things, and just when you think we are about to wrap it up this week things take a turn and we keep on talking. We hope you stick with us for this whole episode and let us know what you think, or share if you think someone you know might want to follow along also.
Books that we mention:
Fellowship of the River by Joseph Tafur MD and Gabor Mate MD
Consciousness Medicine by Francoise Bourzat
Quotes we bring up today include:
Choose guilt over resentment every time - Gabor Mate
Helplessness is a point of view not a feeling - (another one by) Gabor Mate
When people show you who they really are, believe them - Maya Angelou
Something you want to hear about? Email us at [email protected] want to attempt to follow our thought process come follow us on Instagram @salad_sage and if you can follow along with todays conversation and know someone who might love us please share.
It's hard to come up with a title for today as we jump from topic to topic. The title I can land on is buffet and we hope that you can take what serves you away from it as you would with any good buffet (in case you remember those from your pre-Covid social lives).
I will clarify that the book and audio book that I mention in this episode is Unfu*k Yourself by Gary John Bishop because we do want to make sure that we give credit where it is due (and make sure you can check out that Scottish accent if you want)
As it is also not clear here as we end as abruptly as we start and jump around you can follow us on Instagram as @salad_sage or you can email us at [email protected]. Much love if you stuck with us this whole episode and wish us luck for some clarity for next week.

As usual we talked about a lot of subjects today, and at one time the saying "You can't push rope" came up, as we are reminded that we cannot change the perception or feelings of another person. As things sit right now and I type this show description the plan is a part 2 for this episode....we will see if that is what we stick with until next week.
Remember you can follow us on Instagram at salad_sage or email us at [email protected] and please share this episode or your thoughts on it for us. Until next time have a great week!
Tonight will be a new moon, and tomorrow Rachels birthday. We start out with great intentions but take a few side roads along the way which is how things usually go here. So we touch on a several subjects and hope that you stick with us for almost an hour on this one. Remember to share if you enjoy this, give us feed back on Instagram at salad_sage or email us at [email protected]
We went into our talk today with no particular topic, so we decided to allow what might come. That being said this is another episode made up of pieces of conversations, although there are a lot more pieces today than last time you heard us!
