Greg Laurie says this, "worry doesn't make your life longer, just more miserable." Having anxieties and worries arise in our lives is inevitable, but how we choose to deal with them makes all the difference. So, that poses the question, "how do we deal with the anxieties of battle?" 1 Peter 5:7 says, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." No matter what life throws at you, rest in Jesus. Though a man may leave Jesus for a moment, Jesus never leaves the man.

What happens when our role in life changes? What do we do when a new season of life comes? 

As Christians, we are to continually serve with our whole heart. We all have a role in the Body of Christ until Jesus calls us home. It matters less about what the role is and more about how we use the role for the glory of God. Throughout scripture, God's mighty hand is mentioned and seen working through the good and bad moments of life. God's mighty hand delivers, disciplines, directs, and dignifies all believers and He will exalt each of us at the proper time. Until that time comes, choose humilty and serve one another as Christ has served us.

The world tells us to pursue pleasure, popularity, and power, but Jesus tells us to pursue humility. Jesus even says we must deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow him. How do we gain biblical wisdom? How do we gain the wisdom Jesus calls us to and not fall into the trap of what the world calls wisdom? 1 Peter 5:5 says, "In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders." We gain biblical wisdom by studying God's Word, spending time in prayer, but also by submitting to the counsel of those who have walked before us and gone places we have not. Seek out Godly men and women in your life, learn from them, and let them pour wisdom into your life.

Through the story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11–32), Jesus shows us that there are two kinds of lost people: those who know they are lost and those who don’t. He wanted us to know that there’s more than one way to be lost and wandering from him. Thankfully, he also gave us a way to come back home; not through rule-following or self-righteousness, but by receiving our heavenly Father’s unconditional, extravagant love.

In 1 Peter 5, the apostle Peter offers a final charge to the leaders of the church before closing his wonderful letter to the churches of Asia Minor. His teaching still holds true for those who lead the Church today as well as those who are numbered among "the flock of God" - The Church.
