The Saloon War written and produced by Mike King and narrated by Brad Smalley is an account of a bloodless conflict that took place between Luke Short and the Dodge City mayor. The story of Mayor Degers attempt to try and force Luke Short to close the Long Branch Saloon is an accurate account of the corrupt political factors supporting the take over of the whiskey trade in Dodge City.
