In this heartfelt episode, I sat down with the remarkable Sally Lemmo, and trust me when I say, it's a conversation that'll stay with you. Sally bravely opened up about her personal battle with breast cancer, emphasizing the life-saving importance of early detection through self-checks. It's a raw and emotional journey that many of us might not fully grasp, but her story is a testament to resilience and the human spirit.

But it wasn't just about the physical challenges. Sally delved deep into the emotional rollercoaster that followed her diagnosis. She spoke of feelings of loss, grappling with her identity, and facing a profound depression. It's a side of the battle we don't often hear about, but it's just as real and just as challenging.

In the midst of all this, we touched on our shared world of hairstyling. We chatted about setting boundaries in our profession, recognizing our true worth, and the importance of community. For Sally, the hairstyling community and industry awards became unexpected sources of healing and rediscovery. They reminded her of her passion, her purpose, and the love that surrounds her.
