இனத்துக்கு இனம் சற்று மாறுபட்டாலும், ஒரு நாய் சராசரி 13 வருடங்கள் உயிர் வாழும் என்பது உங்களுக்குத் தெரிந்திருக்கலாம். Victoria மாநிலத்தில் Rochester என்ற இடத்திலிருந்த Les Hall என்பவரின் 1910ம் ஆண்டு, ஜூன் மாதம் ஏழாம் நாள் பிறந்த Bluey என்ற Australian Cattle dog வகை நாய், 1939ம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 14ம் நாள் வரை வாழ்ந்தது. 29 வருடம், 5 மாதம், 7 நாட்கள் வாழ்ந்த Bluey, உலகில் அதிக நாள் வாழ்ந்ததாக Guinness World Records இன்றும் பதிந்துள்ளது. இது குறித்து நிகழ்ச்சி படைத்தவர் குலசேகரம் சஞ்சயன்.

According to Guinness World Records, the world’s oldest known dog was an Australian Cattle dog or Blue Heeler, appropriately named “Bluey”, owned by Les Hall of Rochester in the Australian state of Victoria. Born on 7 June 1910, Bluey died on 14 November 1939 at the age of twenty-nine years, five months, and seven days.

Contemporary A Cappella and Jazz artist, musician and composer, Lisa Young has found Konnakol – a South Indian vocal rendering of wordless percussion syllables as the most detailed and structured form of that class.  Lisa plays an instrumental part of two musical groups: Coco’s Lunch and The Lisa Young Quartet.

Our producer, Kulasegaram Sanchayan, talks to Lisa Young about her musical journey and her passion for Konnakol.
