Some disciples attempt to follow my path of penance for a week, yet they are unable to withstand the suffering. Through meditation, however, one can surely realize the highest state of consciousness. Many fail to grasp the true purpose of birth, and so their minds wander, though their desire is to serve humanity as service to God, for all beings are manifestations of the Divine. This penance is not confined to one person, caste, religion, nation, or even Earth—it is for the entire Universe, for universal peace that transcends world peace. Life exists on other planets, and even scientific research suggests advanced beings dwell in other realms; yet even the smallest imbalance can bring collapse. Those who have realized God live for the welfare of others, uniting body, mind, and intellect in service, and such souls are protected by Aadhi Sakthi. Sadly, most worship only with eyes turned toward material pleasures rather than the higher truth. With pure devotion, the Atma can be realized in twenty-one days, but in this Kali Yuga, even eleven minutes of daily meditation is enough to bring peace to the individual, the family, the nation, and the world—for when one attains peace, the world attains peace. All that a person needs can be gained through this simple, effective and highest practice.

One who has realized God within sees the entire world as a reflection of the Divine, perceiving only the radiance of divinity and not the flaws of others. The purpose of this sacred penance—undertaken in silence, without food, sleep, or human contact—is to ensure that noble thoughts prevail and that the world attains auspiciousness. The suffering endured during these days cannot be expressed in words; remaining in one place, immersed in the highest state of consciousness, even within three days mothers pray earnestly, asking if the Guru will end the penance. At times the knees ache, sleep is impossible, and even closing the eyes becomes difficult, yet the pain is borne just as a mother protects her child, a village head sacrifices for his people, or a governor endures hardship for the nation. My duty is not only toward humanity or Earth but toward the happiness of the entire Universe.
Calamities lie ahead for this world. Just as a mother worries when her child plays in the rain, Yoga teaches that prevention is better than cure, for transformation after disaster is difficult. What is needed is recognition of one’s mistakes and change from within. Many transcend the body to communicate with siddhars, who often say, “Let the right time come.” But why wait until all are gone for a new world to be established? The right time is now. I have questioned Jnanis, Gurus, sages, and Maharishis: even when witnessing the suffering of people, why do your hearts not melt? In response, these enlightened beings have united in support of this penance, urging me to strive with all my strength so that the world may benefit.
If even one good soul can bring rain, why should I not be that soul? If my suffering can bring auspiciousness to the world, I am prepared to surrender this body. Yet deep compassion for humanity restrains me, for the people still need guidance and care.

Simply hearing about this penance is a blessing, sharing its message multiplies goodness, participating in it is a rare fortune, and offering any contribution brings further grace—yet living within it and practicing karma yoga is the highest blessing of all.
Across ages, beings evolve and transform, and as this yuga nears its end, darkness will fade and truth will prevail; this transitional phase is called Sangama Yuga. At ThiruJnanam, a sacred place praised in Tamil literature, I was divinely guided to sit between two mountains at the confluence of the Kaveri, Bhavani, and Amudha rivers, undertaking penance in solitude to support this transformation. A great cycle of destruction approaches, not only for Earth but for the universe, and though it cannot be avoided, this penance seeks to awaken souls to recognize mistakes, seek clarity, and walk the right path. If meditation is done alone, its awareness remains hidden, but sages and siddhars have always meditated in forests and mountains for world peace, and such spiritual work is needed even now.
At Therku Prayagu, before the Sangameshwarar Temple, I gather high vibrations to spread across the world, creating calming energies in the hearts of leaders to guide them toward humanity’s welfare. The suffering and prayers of people reach enlightened Gurus, yet humanity faces grave danger—species extinction, rising invisible diseases, and conflicts of caste, religion, race, and language that deepen division. We suffer as we have been neglecting dharma and culture; religion itself does not divide, only its misuse does, for no faith teaches harm. Prophets taught unity, but their essence has faded into empty rituals, leaving the world at the edge of ruin.
Bharath, the cradle of civilization, once taught peace, culture, and governance to humanity, and those who live here must be uplifted with noble thoughts and freed from needless conflicts so that happiness and peace may return. Just as a mother silently suffers to protect her child, so too beings endure countless hardships, and this penance stands as protective pillars for Earth, invoking the powers of the Sapta Rishis and holy Gurus.
By its conclusion, unnecessary conflicts will dissolve not only in India but across the world, and unity and harmony will take root in the hearts of global leaders—this is the true purpose of the penance.

Gurumahaan: How to perform second-year penance and which is the ideal location for it? Once, I had a strong intuition before crossing the Kaveri bridge early in the morning - "Between two rivers, between two mountains at the center of three rivers." Where could I discover such a place? I decided to leave it to nature. While I was on the Kaveri bridge, I looked back and spotted the mountain Bhavani Ooratchukootam Vedagiri (the name of the mountain) and Perumal mountain. Nestled between them are the Bhavani river and the Amudha river. There was a particular rock that called to me, and I felt compelled to do my penance there. I shared this with my beloved devotees, Mei.Kandhasamy and Mei.Ganesan. I noticed lizards, snakes, and even, surprisingly, rats around me. I was observing all of this. Wisdom teacher, Mei.Rafi Ahmed, constructed a pyramid structure for me to perform my penance on this rock. I had to either sit or lie down at a slant inside the pyramid. For 21 days, I engaged in penance with the hope that the Kaveri river would always flow abundantly. Nowadays, there are barrages. Many believed that Karnataka would not supply water, but today, there is tranquility, and the water flows generously. However, our people have built homes along the riverside, which hinders the flow. There is a significant need for awareness regarding the respect for nature. This second penance occurred amidst a water body.

In the quest for happiness, man often looks outward, missing the truth that resides within him. Many wise sages have pointed out that true happiness is found within. Gurumahaan emphasizes the importance of practicing Yoga and Kayasiddhi to uncover this truth. During the 21-day penance, Gurumahaan rigorously tested His body with various practices so the body operates at its highest potential. An imbalance in the body’s tri-doshas (vata, pita, kapha) can lead to diseases. Siddha medicine has identified a total of 4448 diseases resulting from dosha imbalances. The eternal truth known as MeiUnarvu (the Divine vibration at the Forehead or Crown) is a rare medicine, even for the Gods, and it is through this MeiUnarvu that Lord Muruga, the embodiment of wisdom, was born. This medicine heals physical, mental, and intellectual ailments, purifying the soul. I have been blessed with this precious medicine.
Oh, my beloved hearts, come and partake in this medicine (get initiated into Kundalini meditation to realize the Self). There is no need to seek this medicine in stores.
Arutperunjothi offered this medicine freely to everyone, yet many were unprepared to accept it. Now, I stand before you to share this medicine, and you have all gathered to receive it. The blessings of realized sages are flowing towards you. Just as binoculars help us see distant objects, the forehead eye, a gift from nature, allows us to perceive God, who exists beyond the physical, mental, and intellectual realms. With this eye, one can transcend worldly distractions, journey inward, and realize the Self, ultimately attaining bliss.
"Through relentless effort, I have reached the once-unreachable teaching. With persistent dedication and inward contemplation, I have discovered the non-dual truth and recognized the Self as all-encompassing" ( எட்டாத தற்பரத்தை எட்டி எட்டி உட்புறமாய் உட்சென்று, உற்று நோக்க, நோக்க அப்புரமும் இப்புரமும் ஏகபராபரமும் என்னுள் நான் அறிந்தேன் quote from நான் கடவுள் / I-God book by Gnanavallal Paranjothi Mahaan). I have attained bliss and invite you all to experience the same joy through this penance. With this positive intention and the activation of the third eye, blessings will flow abundantly. I am prepared to share the pure milk of wisdom, but your body must also be pure enough to accept it. If not, the milk will spoil. Please cleanse your body. The milk is pure, yet the recipient must be equally so. For someone who sleeps excessively or not at all, who eats too much or hardly anything, or who practices too much yoga or none at all, Kundalini yoga will not bear fruit. Strive for balance. You don’t need to engage in extreme penance like I do. The person who discovered electricity made it accessible for everyone to use. Just think about how many homes would have lights if we all had to discover electricity for ourselves.
In response to the outcry and suffering of many, a Guru emerges. I, myself, did not have a role model for such penance to emulate. An inner intuition has guided me to undertake the 21-day penance for the transformation of Satya-Yuga. Many sages have foretold the transformation of Satya Yuga, but who will take on the responsibility for it? We have prayed to God throughout our lives; why don’t we strive to become God ourselves?
From a young age, whenever I encountered any deity, I never thought of worshipping the Lord but rather of becoming ONE with it.
Remarkably, Gurumahaan’s childhood aspiration has come to fruition, and He has realized the Self.

That Supreme being which governs the gross body, subtle body, and causal body is 'Purusha'. Purusha is not the physical body, Atma is indeed Purusha. When Purusha (spirit) engages with ‘Prakriti’ (matter), it creates the world we perceive and leads to suffering. This phenomenon is referred to as samsara, as we become bound and experience cycles of joy and sorrow.
Samsara : Atma assumes a body to transform into Jiva and becomes attached to that body. An analogy: When someone takes a photograph with a camera, if the photographer believes they are the camera, which is merely a tool (similar to how Jiva perceives itself as the body), then the avidya (incorrect knowledge) causes immense suffering. People identify with and cling to their body, mind, and intellect, thus experiencing sorrow in this samsaric cycle.
Samsaric suffering arises not from forgetting our true nature as Atma but from a feeling of separation from God. A person who perceives every object as Atma experiences no suffering.
God is one, and that one is you. When multiple mirrors are arranged around, even if their shapes differ, we still see our own reflection only. This embodies the profound truth “Thou Art that” (அது நீ). When this knowledge is transformed into experience, it becomes wisdom.
Now, after Velvi, they provide free meals (Annadhanam). Do we consider whether the Guru eats enough? We focus on satisfying our own hunger. Gurumahaan humorously remarks that even if everything is ONE, each person’s hunger is distinct. Guru also mentions that some devotees approach with requests, saying there are many issues in their family, please resolve them through penance, or asking for help in finding a groom for their daughter. For all worldly matters, we seek Guru’s assistance, yet food is something we manage on our own. If I were to eat for a day on your behalf, could you survive? :) remarks Gurumahaan!
The wise ones (self-realized masters) are always awake while the whole world sleeps. They serve as the protectors of the world during the night. In the state of sleep, our mental patterns come to light through our dreams. If our dreams are positive, it indicates that our consciousness is pure and virtuous. The outer world is a reflection of our inner consciousness. We perform all actions and attribute the outcomes (if unfavorable) to destiny.
When God (Paramporul), who is all-present and all-knowing, is everready to shower blessings abundantly, there is a small catch. Only those who earnestly seek God will receive these blessings. We often find ourselves engrossed in the material world, neglecting our connection with God. When someone meditates on the Supreme and sheds even a single tear of gratitude, divine grace shall flow through them.
Individuals pursue satisfaction through their senses and rarely pause to consider the source of true, lasting happiness.
“Be still and behold the truth” does not imply merely sitting quietly with closed ears and eyes. We might be physically meditating, yet our minds can wander across the globe. Turning our mind inwards will enable inner stillness. The joy that emerges from this inner peace is beyond verbal expression. It must be experienced firsthand. A Guru may offer various comparisons, such as tasting a fruit or enduring pain or illness. Only through personal experience can we truly grasp these subtle concepts.
To realize God, the subtlest of all, nearer than the nearest, we require the third eye (wisdom eye or forehead eye), much like needing binoculars to see distant objects clearly.

During the penance, at one night there was rain in Bhavani in this Margazhi month (December – January), without disturbing anyone. However, when we asked people from other districts, they reported no rain.
"Even if there is just one good-hearted individual, rain will fall upon everyone for that one soul." This incident serves as a perfect illustration of that saying.
No Parama Purusha (Holy Guru) will declare themselves an incarnation. Each of you present here is an incarnation, but because you have not yet realized the Self, you remain seated below. I have realized my Self and I am seated above.
Take my hand and march towards the higher Self. I am constantly striving to uplift your souls. We do not seek any special treatment in return. I have no desire for luxurious clothing, gourmet food, praise, or physical comfort.
The 21-day penance is not solely for the living beings on Earth. The Earth is merely a small sphere; there are numerous habitable planets across various solar systems, akin to the tiny seeds of a fig. There are multiple universes. We mistakenly believe that Earth is the only livable planet and claim ownership of land, creating divisions among ourselves. This mindset of "I will live here, you should live there" is repugnant. When will people’s minds become pure? Only when wisdom and politics unite! This is the purpose of this Penance.
Wise ones are advocating to work towards the welfare of the world. Politicians are proclaiming the need for peace. Only when they come together, combining intellect and sakthi (potential), can we achieve karma yoga or duty to foster happiness and peace.
In the past, for every king, there was a Raja-Guru who selflessly worked for the welfare of the world, making numerous amendments for the people.
In this penance, we have raised the flag symbolizing the union of politics and wisdom.

The duty of the Guru is to uplift you to the same supreme state as He is. What is the nature of the ocean? Unites water from river and transforms into the ocean itself. In the same way, Gurus draw you into that higher state and unite you with the Supreme Being.
In the good days to come, you need not climb step by step anymore. I have discovered something. Why? Can you carry boxes and beds while climbing stairs? That is why escalators were invented. In airports, before boarding airplanes, you have seen them. You only need to place your foot, and it will carry you upward.
Likewise, in this 21 day holy penance, , an escalator has been discovered. Place your foot, and surely you will be lifted into that supreme state, that blissful state, that silent Śivam. What is required?
Turn your mind toward me. Your mind wanders outward, but I am present within as awareness. To perceive awareness is your intelligence. That is why whatever you do reaches me!
You think you commit a mistake secretly, but am I not present behind you? You fail to realize it. Therefore, let no one fall into the state of “I erred without his knowing.” Recognize your mistakes! To know oneself brings no harm. So come, drink that supreme bliss. Come towards this Divinity whenever you wish. Seeking is enough.
Moreover, if the world’s political administrators undergo 21 days of transformation here, within a year truth will prevail across the world, meaning Sathya Yuga shall be established. . From today,(7-01-1992) the light of wisdom will resound throughout the world, turning all politicians toward wisdom. When the world establishes peace, truth, and equality, onneness, and rejoices in it, that very day then this body with enter Samadhi.
At this time, greetings have come from the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu(1992). In ancient times, Tamil Nadu gave the world great arts, culture, traditions, and politics. That glory of Tamil Nadu will awaken and be reborn. Wisdom and politics will unite. Protecting politicians is the duty of sages; protecting sages is the duty of politicians. Together they will elevate Tamil Nadu, elevate Bharat, and elevate the world. We shall establish a single world of divine governance!

The purpose of science is to prove the existence of true self. Science and spiritual wisdom are not separate. Even our spiritual knowledge can today be transformed into science in many ways. For example, medical science says: if the body has no food for three days, it will lose weight. But here, it has in this penance of 23 days, we count it as 21. From December 16, 1991, when I entered into penance , until January 7, 1992, when I completed the penance , my weight remained the same 60 kilos as was before start of penance. How is this possible? I would even touch my stomach to check if I have reduced weight!
I remembered the story: when Krishna ate 1 piece of rice, it was enough to satisfy all the disciples of sage Durvasa. I too had heard such tales in the Puranas. But in my own experience, the offerings made by my dear beloved divine mothers, before every meal, they dedicated it to the Guru who sat in the sacred penance, these filled my stomach.
If I did not drink milk, no one would know what I was doing inside, for I concealed everything during the holy penance. People would wonder: Has he died? Is there a smell? What is he doing? Only to prevent such doubts did I drink milk. Just being in such state for three days called as nirvikalpa samādhi, the soul unites with the supreme power, it will not return to the body. That is why, after death, we perform certain rites on the third day. It is said that Jesus rose again three days after death. Ramakrishna Paramahamsa too, when Totapuri Swami gave him the Initiation Kundalini Initiation, entered this Nirvikalpa state for three days. But after three days, the soul that has attained supreme bliss does not wish to return to worldly life.
What use is it then to come back? Many sages have existed. Some leave, others attained bliss and cried out loudly, calling those who are bonded in worldly pleasures. But those did not heed the call, thinking the pleasures of the lower world were enough, and perished there.
Here Gurumahan, having attained this supreme bliss, thought: “Ah, we have reached supreme joy! Why should not all beings in this world attain liberation?” And so they descended again not only crying out, but speaking, teaching, and transforming others into beings of awareness, raising them as they themselves had been raised.
Just as you draw the Guru here, so too noble energies above pull Guru toward that supreme state. This is attraction, magnetism, the pull of grace. When the soul united with supreme, this physical body becomes inert. With the inert body you build a tomb, place a garland, sing hymns, burn incense and camphor, and say: “This divine one did penance for 21 days ”
But while Gurumahan was in 21 day penance, you were writing and chanting outside, I was inside, writing back to you, moving you, guiding you, remaining in that state. I can stay in the same state and guide you from inside! Yet how can anyone know me? Have you transcended subtlety? You have not yet transcended even the gross body!
So Through Karma Yoga, Gurumahan returns to human form with a smiling face to guide souls toward the Supreme Self, fulfilling his duty on Earth and ensuring the dawn of Satya Yuga.

At an age when I did not yet understand myself, one day as I lay on a cot in my home, around seven years old, I felt as though something within me separated and stood above. A strange fear arose: Am I this, or am I that? Both seemed visible—the one below, and the one above. Was the one below truly me, or was the one above me? Confusion! How could I describe such an experience? To whom could I ask? I did not know how to explain it.
That experience brought confusion. I wondered whether there is something beyond sun or the moon. Thinking about this, my head would spin and I would sit bewildered. It was an age too young to grasp. Later, after receiving initiation from His Holiness Gnanavallal Paranjothi Mahan within two months, during meditation, the same experience occurred again, something separating from the body.
For truly, there is a force that moves this body. Whoever understands who moves it, becomes distinct from the this world. The good and evil of this world no longer cling to him. For him there is no night, no day; no heat, no cold. He transcends dualities. He goes beyond time and space.
From such states I thought: why should this not happen to others too? Ah, this bliss, the true self am present in many forms, yet why do people not realize it? Why should I not undertake some research, some effort, to make this subtle truth easier for people to perceive? That yearning became a movement: to keep you with me for three days during the penance, so that somehow you may understand this subtlety.
You are already dwelling in this subtle world, you are the subtle bearer! The very principle that moves this world and the cosmos : you are that. If somehow I can awaken this inner awareness in you, then your mind will be purified, you will attain joy, your family will attain joy, and those around you will attain joy.
If each individual attains peace, then society attains peace. If society attains peace, then the world attains peace. Then my duty in this world is fulfilled!. That is why this body, this instrument, is now being used—to establish the Sathya Yuga.
There is no need for someone to come from elsewhere. There is no need for a new god to be born after Kali fades. The god is already arising within you. He is before you, he is within you. Instead of worshipping outwardly, begin to worship inwardly. Whether you worship me or worship these hall decor, it is the same.
This body and this hall decor, are all matter, inert. You are not worshipping the body, but the noble one within it. That is why Mahan thirumular in his Thirumandhiram says: “The body perishes and life within also perishes along with the body for those who do not attain the wisdom of self”
Within this body lies the true principle. That inner power is present in all of us. The great sage sang: “May the bliss I experience, let the whole world experience!".
To fulfill that noble thought, you must purify your hearts, and your divine powers will continue to shine forth!
