We are at a very dangerous point and our children are in the cross hairs of a virus that now infects, hospitalizes and likely can and will kill some of them.  Too many fools are under the impression that children are not as vulnerable as adults.  The Delta variant proves that wrong as we now have more children in the hospital with the infection than at any time in this pandemic and don't forget that is before most return to school.  In at least two states, the governor has put politics over their lives.  This is especially true by DeSantis of Florida. We should have been at a better place with the pandemic but far too many people for various reasons and not in a small part disinformation, chose not to get vaccinated and now we have Delta.  Nearly 100% of those in the hospital, ICU, dying are unvaccinated and often as they enter this situation share their regrets with hospital staffs.  Most hospitals in states with low vaccination rates are at near capacity and even worse in ICUs and that is before school starts in those states.  Where will we put those children as they get sick because masks were not mandated or in the case of Florida and Texas banned from mandates.  There should be a huge political price to be paid by those governors as we watch our young and vulnerable children get sicken, hospitalized and unfortunately for many, die........thanks for listening and don't forget to check out my Video Blogs on the you tube channel but also linked from my website: wethepeople4democracy.net

Anger, frustration are hallmarks of what I feel towards the foolish people who refuse to be vaccinated putting us all at risk.  With the assistance of the MAGA GOP, we will be in this pandemic for far too long and I am afraid that another variant worse than Delta will erase the gains of our vaccinations.  There is also a new post on my website today: wethepeople4democracy.net  thanks for reading and listening.

This is the last part of today's round table discussion of CRT and Racism with our guests.  You will notice a slight overlap from part 2.  I wanted to make sure of the continuity and not lose any important points. Over 400 Years ago, the first Africans were brought to what is now the United States as slaves.  We are still living with the results of that action and in reality we need to ponder the fact that there were more years of slavery than the years since Emancipation, by a lot. One of the best ways to understand is to have frank discussions like the four of us shared today. We ARE a great nation but we need to do better.  Until we take the time to listen, it will be very difficult to bridge the understanding we need to make this country what Jefferson said it should be and the Preamble to the US Constitution states as a goal - All Men are Created Equal and to Form a More Perfect Union.  The discussion was honest and enlightening to us all don't miss it.  I hope to put the complete video on my YouTube channel shortly.  Thanks for listening.......
