This episode is part two of a three-part series with the lovely creator of The Social Bungalow, Shannon Lutz. Last week Shannon and I dove into how to create magnetic and high converting content. Basically the key to your success.
Today we are getting deep into the nitty gritty of Instagram...ever heard of it?? Specifically: how to leverage Instagram stories, the tried and true methods to connect more deeply with your ideal customer and make it more likely that they'll want to work with you. We’re talking about everything from hashtags to collaboration strategies along with all the IG marketing strategies you need to boost your engagement, feel confident in how you're growing your business and, most importantly, the fundamental strategies that never change.
If you're doing these things through and through, even when algorithms change, you are going to be growing a very strong business utilizing this platform.

In real time as this is being recorded, the world is continuing to navigate it’s “new normal” with countries literally being shut down, businesses being put on pause or shutting down, schools and churches are closed and there is a virus spreading across the globe like wildfire. There is very little predictability right now.
So today, we're not focusing on the virus. The world is doing enough of that right now. But we are, however, focusing on something that rings true every single day, across every generation and within every industry, no matter what is happening in the world: leadership.
Leadership is the way through every single battle. It is how you're going to come out on top no matter what you are facing, what the circumstances are, whether you lead a team, an organization, your family, your church or your community. How you rise to this challenge and any other challenge that you face is going to determine how you come out on the other side.
I want to make this topic tangible for you. So this episode is going to break down the different categories that I find most important during really tough times. Listen to this one with your notebook in hand because it's applicable stuff that's going to make a world of difference in this particular moment in history and in the many moments to follow.

What a wild moment to capture in history, isn't it? It's crazy.
At the time of this recording, China, Italy, Spain and France have already been shut down, literally shut down, because of COVID-19. Here in the U.S. we are very closely following suit. Church has been canceled, schools are closed, colleges have let out for the year, jobs are shutting down, people are being asked to work from home… There's just a lot of uncertainty right now, beyond just the scare of the virus. We are all being called to do our moral part and do what we can to slow the spread of this thing and protect those who really need the protection most.
We are all being tested in so many different ways right now. Some of us are worried about finances and keeping businesses afloat, some of us are worried about the health of our families, some of us are worried about travel plans. This is an emotionally taxing season.
So many things can (and should!) be discussed during this time, but what I want to focus on and talk about today is business: How do you run your business during a major disruption? How do you stay relevant? How do you cut through the crazy and how do you do it with a level of tact and class that is appreciated?

What makes you unique?
I want you to really think about this. We are all working so hard to stand out against all of the noise and competition in the online space, but what if our skills and offers overlap with someone else in our industry? Maybe you’re starting to feel defeated because you think it’s already been done.
Newsflash: You're likely not going to create something totally brand new as far as a product or a service. But that’s okay! What you can do is stand out against the competition. You can be the one that people trust and admire and want to work with.
So today I want to emphasize a truth that I stand by: No matter what it is you do, you have a PBF, a personal brand fingerprint, and that means what you're doing has the potential to stand out against the grain all day, every day.
Make sure you snag today's freebie! It's designed to help you nail your PBF and really drill down so that you can bring it into your business and infuse it into everything you're doing.
