On this week's Little Cuts, we're chatting:
Sorry for the re-up...but some of the apps are still not pulling the updated track, no matter what I did to the original track. So we're re-loading the episode as its own separate thing and deleting the old one.
It's a little later than we wanted, but 2024 doesn't end until we say it does! This week we're releasing our annual Best of the Year! We talk about some of our favorite moments in horror from the year, reminisce on a couple of our favorite episodes, discuss a couple non-film horror things, talk about the ones that just didn't make the top 10. And then we count down our favorites. Will Terry cry? Will Misu make her appearance and terrify us both...you'll have to listen to find out.
Also excuse the audio...we had a couple instances where the audio picked up ambient noise and it was impossible to get rid of.
If you enjoyed what we did in 2024, please leave us a review on your podcast app of choice. It really helps us out.

We chat about filming in freezing conditions, keeping the camaraderie up while filming and more before finding out why The Lost Boys terrified him at an early age. Along the way, Terry shares the very specific way this movie ruined his life for a year...
You can follow Thordur on Instagram. His movie The Damned is playing in theaters this Friday, January 3rd in the States.

This week we chat with Toby Jones, who's written on TV series such as OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes, Regular Show and more. His latest is AJ Goes to the Dog Park, a surreal comedy that combines real life, animation, CG and stop motion into one ridiculous, surrealistic story set in Fargo. It's an absolute trip and we can't wait for more people to see it. We talk about his writing history, the idea behind AJ's many journeys and more. Then we discuss his relationship to horror, including the first time he saw Guinea Pig movies (!!!) and so much more. Finally, we find out why the Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction Season 1 Episode 2 segment "Kid in the Closet" absolutely terrified him growing up. We share our own relationship to the show, dig into the "fact or fiction" of it all and Toby gives us a great idea for a party game.
You can follow Toby on Bluesky, Instagram and Twitter. Keep and eye on his socials for when you'll have a chance to watch AJ Goes to the Dog Park.

This week we chat with Chris Vander Kaay about his new movie .ask, which is streaming on POV Horror. For transparency, .ask is a film that Mary Beth helped produce. We chat about making the film to prove that you can make a movie for very little money, the way he used what was available to him to support the filmmaking process and more. Then we discuss Chris's relationship to horror, how he got introduced to it, what scared him and finally why Cloak & Dagger terrified him growing up. We discuss Tom Holland's effect on a number of our guests, the Hitchcockian nature of the film, kids in danger and Terry has a realization.
If you haven't seen Cloak & Dagger, do yourself a favor and watch it before listening. It's a fantastic and surprising film
