2:19
If somebody is not getting what they want, it's something way deeper than not wanting to get more than not wanting to get enough or them not, you know, having some kind of hard work ethic or something like that. Because, you know, because I think it's really interesting to understand how I also got into hypnosis, because at the time, something I realized was, if you've ever lost weight, you know that it's hard, you know, you have to change your behavior. So it was difficult. But for me, honestly, it was a lot easier. Like I just lost, I just, I remember one day just deciding I wanted to lose weight after, you know, hearing a ugly comment about myself, and it really stung so you know what I'm about to just lose all of this weight. It was easy for me though, like, I guess I wanted to lose weight so bad. I just chose the fact that I was going to be healthy, I was set on that lifestyle that I didn't have a lot of resistance to anything. And so I was just going through everything.
5:10
But nobody can change human behavior faster than I can. Because at the time, I had a lot of reps in my practice. So I was like, nobody can change human behavior faster than mean. So we're going to become a change company. And we're just going to pump out idea after idea after idea or method, or method or tool out there, a tool that can change human behavior, to help people get what they want out of life. And, you know, just through that process, man, I discovered I really love working with entrepreneurs, because I just, I want to help as many people as I can. And the best way to do that is to help the people or helping people. So that's a really long answer to your very short question. But I just think it was injured. I just think it was important for you guys to have some context around how this entire thing came about.
9:15
No matter how high it was interesting, man, because I think I got my first eight figure net worth client. When I got that client, all kinds of shit. All kinds of stuff just started coming right up. Who are you to do this? You're not good enough. You don't have what it takes. You're gonna blow it, he's gonna realize your fluke, he's gonna realize you don't know what you're doing, people are gonna start to see that you're not as you're not as certain you're not as convicted as you say you are. And all of these starts just fear started coming up. And I was very intrigued by that. I was like, why am I really freaking doubting myself and I, and this was interesting, man, because when I realized this that was really strong in me, I have an open door over there, I'm not gonna walk up and get him. But I have the stack of notebooks of all of my notes that I take during my hypnosis sessions. So I just decided to start looking at all of them. And they're all from high level entrepreneurs, I was highlighting all the key words. And the dialogue was the exact same. I know I'm successful, but I don't feel like I'm actually good enough. No matter what I do, it's not good enough. Do I really deserve this? Whole shit? Can I really maintain this is the shoe about a job? Like very uncertain, very uncertain.
11:22
I found myself for nine hours, of course, not in one day, but two different days, nine hours, reading thread, after thread, after thread, conversation after conversation of entrepreneurs screaming for help, because they no matter how highly skilled and successful and trained and experienced they were, they still underperformed, they still felt incapable, they still felt like they were not actually good enough, despite having a lengthy and must add a very impressive track record. And at the same time, I had that track record, I had hundreds of testimonials to prove that I know what I'm doing. But I guess just working with this higher individual brought something out of me. And that became my biggest thing, man. And you know what's interesting, and this is, I think a really good point to drive home here is if you're dealing with self doubt, number one, pay attention to that. Because as entrepreneurs, we typically have self images of being ambitious, right? Or being driven, of being a hard worker, of being successful. We have these images that we create of ourselves. And so we start filling thoughts, feeling emotions that are not in alignment with that image, right like me saying, I'm not good enough that wasn't in alignment with I'm ambitious, I am driven that wasn't in alignment with that, so I kept shoveling it away.
15:59
That's really powerful. Because I think that everybody uses the word like self sabotage, right? Where it's like, I'm, I'm self sabotaging today. But a lot of times people don't know how to solve that. Right. And so you were able to, and I love that you had this like experience in this memory, because that's something that I've also had as well. You know, I had a very similar experience where I remembered when I was like five or six. And it was something that, in the moment, where I remember that I remember just tears coming down my eyes, I was just like, Oh, my God, and it set me up to like this. This is it. Like I knew this moment, like, this was the thing that made me feel unsafe. And yeah, I think that's powerful. So like, on this topic, like, what do you, I don't know if this is the right way to phrase it. So you can correct us on but what is the biggest mistake that you see entrepreneurs make, especially like, you know, fitness coaches and health coaches, that they're making right now, it's making things more difficult for them, right, making things way more difficult for them.
17:06
And I can say this, because as a health and fitness coach, health and fitness to you, is being able and I don't know, at least for what it was, for me at the time, it was a very limited idea. Eat less, eat the right food, move more. But I did not understand the reality of, hey, I actually feel your shit. Because if you do not feel any emotion, I'm sorry for causing it, but I get to tone it up about this thing. At the end of the day. Entrepreneurs have a strong tendency to want to always be the strongest person in the room. It's especially true if you're a fitness person, right? You want to be the strongest person in the room, you are a leader, you are seen as a leader. And because of you being seen as a leader, we are afraid of opening up about what we're feeling because it may make us look weak. We may look like we don't have it together. People may lose trust in us. So what do we do? We don't express it. We don't like to talk, talk about it, share it with others, but even heavier and even worse than that, we don't even face the feeling itself. Like and this is actually a fitness coach that I can tell you an experience with.
29:27
At the end of the day, you have to have room for the opportunities you're asking for. The universe will give you every opportunity that you can ever imagine every day you have a life changing opportunity in front of you. I don't care where you are in your business. I don't care how shady things are. Every day there is at least one opportunity that can change the trajectory of your life. But if you do not have enough emotional space, you won't see it. But you won't even take advantage of it at the end of the day, man and we're trying to change our results.
"You want to be the strongest person in the room, you are a leader, you are seen as a leader. And because of you being seen as a leader, we are afraid of opening up about what we're feeling because it may make us look weak. We may look like we don't have it together. People may lose trust in us."
Keynotes:
- Hypnosis plays a big part in a weight loss journey.
- Being obsessed with losing weight at a fast pace is just so wrong.
- Hypnosis is definitely just a mind control that people stereotypically define themselves to.
