Science Fiction Rating System

Join Alex and Sam for a bonus spoilercast they didn't think they would record. Expectations were rock bottom for Zack Synder's reconstruction of Justice League so we approach it tentatively but...it's not that bad? Listen as we apply the Batman Rating System™ to the entire Synderverse and then work our way through four hours of superhero team up fun!

And join us later this week for your regularly scheduled rating, A Clockwork Orange!

This week we watch the classic anime Akira, a film that did a lot to shape the tastes of at least two thirds of this pod. But 30 years later does it still hold up? Join us as we find out and discuss the wonders of animation, the two scenes that gave us nightmares and see if Chris has come round on Japanese films yet...

Next week we stay with troublesome teens, it's A Clockwork Orange!

Join us to learn which cast member is a chemical engineer, which cast member improvised all his lines, and how many people in this were also in Star Trek. We also have a quiz, a few listener requests from the mailbag and much, much more.

Bonjour! This week we present a podcast recorded entirely in the original romance language, le French, in which we talk about classic nouvelle vague Godard flick Alphaville. Think we can't handle something this deep? Think again as we discuss science fiction without science fiction, Jaques-'Jaques' Liverot, how to cheat on your French GCSE, and try and remember who Jeff Bitch is.

Next week, the long-awaited and repeated fan requested Galaxy Quest!

This week we're going back to the '60s to the very first Planet of the Apes, a film so big we can't work out why we haven't done it yet. Join us for confusing space missions, terrible captains and uncomfortable female stereotypes. And lots, and lots of apes.

Next week we're staying in the olden days with the very different Alphaville!
