The Lord as a loving, caring shepherd, leading, guiding, protecting, and caring for His sheep. We are His sheep.

It was the Sunday of the resurrection, three days following the brutal crucifixion of Jesus. Judas had hung himself and the other eleven had gone into hiding. The followers of Jesus were distraught, disappointed, disillusioned. They had actually believed that Jesus was their promised Messiah, the One who had been promised by God through the prophets. There was just one problem…the story did not end the way they had believed!

The resurrection. Jesus spoke in advance of His death and resurrection, and despite the clarity of His statements, the disciples were clueless. And the morning of the resurrection and the early hours following, not even the disciples really believed that He was alive...not until He appeared to them, one on one, in small groups, and in very large groups. Ultimately, they believed.

In fulfillment of Old Testament Messianic prophecies, Jesus enters Jerusalem on a donkey with crowds proclaiming Hosanna. Ironically, in just a few days, the crowds will be crying out Crucify Him! Crucify Him!

Jesus leaves the Temple after one of His most intense interactions with the Jewish religious leaders, where Jesus tells them flat out, you are of your father, the devil. At that they picked up stones to stone Him to death, but Jesus slipped out. Immediately leaving the Temple, on the road, He encounters and heals a blind man.

Amazing statement in John chapter four, For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Why? What was it about Samaritans, what was it about the history that caused such spite? Jesus walked right into the midst of it and has an incredible encounter.

Nicodemus was a leader of the first century Jews, yet recognized something in Jesus and came to Him at night. Why?

This message was an extemporaneous discussion by Pastor Scott over a recent revelation regarding how things in life fit together to accomplish the purposes of the Kingdom of God.

Jesus said that He is the bread that comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world. To experience that life, one must take Him, all of Him, into them. His Word, His character, His ways, must be embraced.

I love the words of the song Breathe — and I, Im desperate for You! And I, Im lost without You! One thing we find throughout Scripture that seems to accompany the Spirit of God being poured out is an expressed desperation for Him. This message is a cry of desperation!
