For conservative Christians, subjects like heterosexual marriage, gender, sexuality, and the exclusiveness of the gospel are non-negotiable values no matter what social norms may dictate. In addition, if as Christians, we hold to the traditional roles of the husband and wife there is the risk of being labeled as closed minded and we would be grouped with hardline racists. For many of the cultural elites, by holding to sound biblical principles, we are seen as unloving and insensitive to the LBGT community earning racist labeling.

The Reformation is not just an historical event it is an on-going reality. For 500 years the claim for every Christian has been: reformed and reforming.

As Christians, we are to be holy and godly. We are to be imitators of God. If you are a believer, you have a principle of holiness planted in you. Meaning, when we lose love for the world, we gain its scrutiny and honor. The people who will not love you because you are holy cannot help but respect and fear you for that same reason. But every time you give up a little holiness to gain false love from sinners, you forfeit the reverence that their consciences secretly paid to your life.

All that is left for us to do is live out what has been provided for us through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. Holiness is not something that a few selected church saints are capable of doing, but holiness is expected and provided for each born again believer. Why does God provide such a God-centered salvation? Because He desires all Christ followers to be a faithful witness to a watching unbelieving world!
