Secret Service January 6 text message mystery
The Secret Service insists records of the text messages sent by its staff on the day prior to, and on January 6, were lost during a phone migration program and that they are still working on recovering them. Were the texts improperly and purposely deleted? It’s a key question that several federal agencies, including the National Archives, want answered.
Mick Mulvaney was Trump’s Acting White House Chief of Staff before being ousted in March 2020. He tells Laura what he knows about his successor Mark Meadow’s handling of the Capitol riot as it unfolded, the dynamic between Trump and advisers in the final days of his presidency, and if he would he support putting Trump back in the White House in 2024. Plus, Trump ally Steve Bannon’s criminal contempt trial begins, and Georgia prosecutors tell all 16 fake Trump electors they are targets in a criminal probe.
