Each and every Saturday morning, hundreds, if not thousands, of people find themselves standing on the side of a pitch coaching a youth or amateur team of some description.

So many people take part in coaching amateur sports in fact that RTÉ has made a new show about it.

It’s called Secrets from the Sidelines, which seeks to bring viewers behind the scenes of amateur Irish sport through the eyes of a handful of coaches. One of those featured in it is Olympian Kenneth Egan - he joins Anton to discuss this as well as the challenges he faced following his retirement from boxing.

Secrets from the Sidelines airs Monday October 9th at 9.35pm on RTE One.
