When I told my husband the topic of our interview today, he asked, "What does that have to do with the gospel and discipleship?"
As humans, most of our discipleship takes place where our feet are planted. For him, usually that's his workplace, but for me, that's my home. I want to be humble enough to invite people into my mess, but within limits. If people can't get into the house without tripping over 20 pairs of shoes it's harder to say "Come on over."
I love hearing about other peoples systems for making that happen. Susan has spent years perfecting her rhythms and creating steady habits. She's going to be our mom for the day and chat through the systems she has learned.
Can you walk us through your ideal day based on systems?
What does your week look like? Is it the same usually, or do things fluctuate often?
What do you do on a day or week when you just don't feel motivated to do anything?
If someone has never done anything like this before, what would be a good first step for them to take today?
