“America Last” has emerged as an organizing principle of the Biden wrecking operation. Examples abound. To pick one, the President has deep-sixed the Keystone EX pipeline and undermined U.S. energy independence, but he cleared the way for the Russian Nordstream 2 pipeline that will make our allies more reliant on a hostile power for natural gas.

Here’s another: Illegal immigrants have been allowed into and distributed all over our country, without regard for their predictable contribution to upticks in Covid-19 and other public health crises. Yet, Americans are being told they must mask up, lock down and show their papers.

Now, amidst the catastrophe in Afghanistan brought on by the Biden bug-out, the Pentagon will not give priority to Americans awaiting extraction and somehow will find space to bring some thirty thousand Afghan refugees to military bases here.  

Restore “America First.”

Joe Biden has repeatedly boasted that “America is back.” It turns out, we’re back to the 1970s when, thanks to ill-advised Democratic policies he supported, we abandoned allies in Vietnam and Iran.

What some are calling “a failure of intelligence” that has resulted in a cascading and ongoing series of disasters in Afghanistan, is really a product of further unintelligent, yea inane, policy decisions by Biden and whoever is actually running the wrecking operation that passes for his administration.

Millions of people in Afghanistan – and especially women and girls – will bear the immediate costs of the current absence of competent U.S. leadership. But make no mistake: Ultimately, so will we here at home.

To cite but one example, we have handed Sharia-supremacists a decisive victory that will embolden them and our other enemies.

Expect more jihadism and aggression worldwide and aimed at us.

U.S. troops are headed back to Afghanistan, not to fight – let alone defeat – the Taliban. Instead, they’re to extricate American diplomats and other citizens, and a lucky few Afghans, before the Islamist horde conquers the country’s capital, Kabul.

Expect scenes reminiscent of a similar rout in Saigon in 1975. Even more ominous though will be other, predictable manifestations of what happens when one side stops fighting and its enemies don’t. 

Jihadis elsewhere are among those who will be emboldened by what amounts to our defeat, and who will be redoubling their hostile efforts in its wake. For example, we should expect in the coming days the Iranian mullahs to obtain the Bomb and the Islamic State to declare a new, far more foreboding caliphate in Nigeria, both of which will have profound repercussions for their respective regions – and the world.

The wrecking operation masquerading as the Biden presidency has added a new dimension to its long litany of self-inflicted wounds: The United States is now ignominiously groveling.  

For example, this week the administration pleaded with the victorious Taliban to take time off from executing the allies we are abandoning in Afghanistan to allow safe passage out of the country for their erstwhile leaders facing a last stand in Kabul.

Then, it begged Arab petrostates to increase production of oil and gas to make up for our energy shortfalls precipitated by the Biden-Harris team’s insane dismantling of one of Donald Trump’s most important bequests to America – namely, energy independence.

The trouble with such pathetic behavior is that it breeds contempt from adversaries and prompts allies to switch sides. That’s a formula for more foes and fewer friends – and a vastly more dangerous world.

The Biden administration is reportedly contemplating making changes in its thus-far-futile campaign to secure the Iranian mullahs’ agreement to slow their accelerating nuclear weapons program. Some accounts say it’s considering a more hard-line approach, others that further appeasement is being contemplated.  

Neither gambit is likely to succeed. The Sharia-supremacists in Tehran are determined both to obtain nuclear weapons and to use them to bring “Death to Israel” and “Death to America.” They’ll never be bound by a deal that precludes those outcomes.

Official Washington, and Americans more generally, are finally awakening to the reality that the Chinese Communist Party is at war with us. Yet, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is allowing Congressman Eric Swalwell to remain on the House Intelligence Committee – even though he has acknowledged having a relationship with a CCP spy aptly nicknamed “Fang Fang.”

Not only does this compromised California representative have, as a result, access to many of our nation’s most sensitive secrets. He actually is allowed still to chair the panel’s Intelligence Modernization and Readiness Subcommittee. What could possibly go wrong?

Fortunately, an impressive group of former national security practitioners and China experts – including a former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Representative Pete Hoekstra – have warned Speaker Pelosi today that Swalwell may still be working with Chinese intelligence. He must be removed from that panel at once.

Maria Bartiromo is onto what is, arguably, the most important story of our time. It has a prominent business angle befitting the Fox anchor’s principal beat. But it is also of the utmost strategic significance as our financing of the threat posed to America by the Chinese Communist Party will likely determine our fate, and surely that of our children and grandchildren.

In three must-see-TV interviews last week, Ms. Bartiromo exposed the utter indifference of a driver of this “China First” strategy, J.P. Morgan’s CEO Jamie Diamond, to the massive losses U.S. investors have lately sustained in China. And she featured two brilliant critics of Wall Street’s underwriting the CCP’s “rise” – Roger Robinson and Jonathan Ward – who established that it is enabling the Party’s terrifying determination to dominate and destroy us.

Maria’s right: That must stop, now.

Joe Biden campaigned on a platform of unifying a deeply divided country. This has proven to be a particularly cynical – and dangerous – bait-and-switch.

For example, the President’s open border policy is bringing into the country hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens each month –most of them military-age, unaccompanied men. Such an invasion is giving rise to a large and growing population of foreigners whose preferential treatment can only spawn disunity at best, and violent repercussions at worst.

Consider the disparate treatment of Americans and the invaders with regard to Covid-19. We are being ordered to lock down, mask up and get vaccinated. They are being ushered into the country, untested, untreated and mostly unvaccinated and delivered at taxpayer expense to communities across the U.S. Talk about super-spreader events!

That’s a formula for division and domestic unrest, a wrecking operation, indeed.

The anti-military left used to quip, “What if they gave a war and nobody came?” Now that they are in charge of the U.S. government, we may be about to find out.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin says all active duty personnel must be vaccinated against Covid-19, a murderous disease from a Chinese biowarfare laboratory. It remains to be seen how many in our all-volunteer armed forces decide to quit rather than take an experimental gene therapy they have thus far declined to inject in their bodies. But anecdotal evidence suggests there will be some, particularly among the relatively small number of actual warriors, as opposed to the many who support them.

Weakening our defenses invites possibly otherwise deterrable wars. With the people who brought us the Chinese Communist Party virus spoiling to do still more damage, that’s an experiment we must avoid.

Radical New York Mayor Bill de Blasio yesterday announced the imposition of a vaccine passport requirement in his city declaring, “If you want to participate in our society fully, you’ve got to get vaccinated.”

Henceforth, if you want to partake in indoor activities at restaurants, gyms and events there, you will need to demonstrate you’ve received a gene therapy approved so far only for emergency use.
