Last week, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and his Chinese counterpart, Gen. Wei Fenghe, held an “emergency meeting” in Singapore. Evidently, it went pretty much as have other conversations between senior Biden officials like Secretary of
The problem wasn’t simply that Defense Minister Wei declared that his country won’t hesitate to go to war over Taiwan. The truth, evidently unacknowledged by either minister, is that China has actually been engaged in “unrestricted warfare” against us for over two decades.
When an enemy makes a point of directly threatening you, it is advisable to prepare for conflict. Unfortunately, Team Biden is, instead, signaling a lack of resolve – and, worse yet, encouraging American investors actually to underwrite the Chinese threat.

The prime-time launch last night by the House Select Committee on January 6th showed that it’s promoting a false narrative of a government-toppling “insurrection,” not pursuing the truth.
After all, the truth is there would have no been penetration of the Capitol had it been on a heightened security status. Instead, somebody directed that it be on a less secure footing than even the normal, day-to-day level.
Who gave that order? Was it the same person who declined President Trump’s authorization to deploy 20,000 National Guardsmen to protect the Capitol?
The further question occurs: Was the reason for such decisions to set the stage for “direct action,” perhaps by FBI informants and operatives and those with whom they were working?
We’re not likely to get answers to these questions from the January 6th Committee, at least until is under new management.

As a young man, I had the privilege of working for five years for a great Democratic Senator named Henry “Scoop” Jackson. He would not recognize his party today, and probably would not be willing to be associated with its agenda.
Take, for example, the Democrats’ studied silence – at best –towards the threatening behavior of pro-abortion activists towards conservative Supreme Court justices, including making public the location of their homes and unlawfully demonstrating outside them. We learned yesterday of the predictable upshot of that criminal activity: Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh was the object of an assassination attempt.
Scoop Jackson would surely lead the way in decrying such behavior, as he did any threat to our national and homeland security. The failure of his counterparts in today’s Senate to do the same implicates them in those threats and disqualifies them from leadership positions.

The Summit of the Americas taking place in Los Angeles this week should be a moment to address a shocking reality: As a result of decades of not-so-benign neglect of the region by the U.S. government, one Latin American nation after another has succumbed to the temptation to vote in Communists or other Marxists in the name of “change.”
Today, the most important nations in our hemisphere – including increasingly our own – are embracing and promoting the radical left agenda of the modern Communist Internationale, doing business as the “Forum of Sao Paolo” under the influence of China, Russia and Iran. Two more, Brazil and Colombia, may enlist this year.
Instead of focusing on climate change, social justice and buying oil from Venezuela, Team Biden should be concentrating on preserving and expanding the freedoms the Forum of Sao Paolo seeks to crush.

Last August, Joe Biden failed to deter the Taliban’s final assault in Afghanistan. In fact, his conduct – and odious orders to the U.S. military to cut-and-run in the middle of the night, leaving $83 billion worth of advanced weaponry behind – not only assured, but effectively invited, the jihadists’ victory there, and whetted their appetite for more elsewhere.
In February, Team Biden once again communicated its unwillingness to impose appreciable costs, this time for a Russian invasion of Ukraine. Vladimir Putin responded like the Taliban.
Now, as Communist China prepares for war, the Biden administration is clearing the way for U.S. investors, including federal government employees and military personnel, to put their money in China. It’s also easing Trump-era tariffs – further generating revenues that not only signal our provocative weakness, but actually will help pay for China’s aggression.
Had enough?

Thirty-three years ago last weekend, the Chinese Communist Party murdered tens of thousands of students and others in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square and elsewhere for courageously protesting its abuses, corruption and oppression.
These massacres were vivid reminders that Communists care only about power – acquiring, maintaining and wielding it ruthlessly. They are indifferent to the attendant suffering of their own people. And they certainly won’t hesitate to do the same to others’.
To the everlasting shame of President George H.W. Bush, he responded by sending his National Security Advisor, Brent Scowcroft, to assure the CCP that there would be no punishment for such egregious crimes against humanity. Instead, it would be rewarded for them with more sweetheart business deals and other “engagement” with the West.
The predictable result is today’s China – enriched, empowered and emboldened by us, and now at our throats.

Within hours of the board that oversees the federal government’s $800 billion retirement fund giving the Chinese Communist Party access to its participants’ money, four Biden nominees to that board have signaled that they oppose the practice.
In a letter to Senators holding up their confirmation, the nominees to the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board wrote, “We agree it is unfitting for Americans to invest in companies from China or elsewhere that undermine U.S. national security.” Since that’s what the Chinese Communists are all about, and since every Chinese corporation must do their bidding, none should have access to Thrift Savings Plan funds.
To assure military and civilian government employees won’t unwittingly invest in our enemy, the Senate must not confirm these nominees until all Chinese companies are removed from mutual fund offerings endorsed by the current Thrift Savings Plan board membership.

Another day, another mass casualty shooting. Inevitably, federal legislators will redouble efforts to give the appearance of “doing something” to stop such violence. One idea under consideration is “universal” background checks.
There’s a significant problem that arises from what is, arguably, the most enduring impact of Team Biden’s wrecking operation: namely, the two million-plus illegal aliens it has let into this country that now live in neighborhoods like yours all across it.
Most of them are unaccompanied, military-age males. And, like the vast majority of such uninvited immigrants, we have no idea who they are. You can’t conduct a background check on someone with an unknown background.
So, “universal” – as with the rule of law more generally these days – means only some will have to obey legal restrictions. Unequal justice is a formula for the destruction of what’s left of our constitutional Republic.

We seem to have dodged a bullet last week at the World Health Assembly. No, it wasn’t the 9-millimeter kind President Biden wants to restrict. Rather, it was one Team Biden aimed at our sovereignty via proposals to let a proxy for the Chinese Communist Party dictate what constitute “public health emergencies of international concern” and what we’ll do about them.
Unfortunately, world-government types are sure to resurface this gambit in the future. Worse yet, the Global Resetters simultaneously meeting in Davos unveiled two new digital mechanisms for imposing their totalitarian ambitions.
As a courageous freedom-fighter named Dr. Naomi Wolf has warned for over two years, such “vaccine passports” will inevitably usher in what the CCP calls a “Social Credit System.”
Her brilliant new book, “The Bodies of Others,” is an instant best-seller – and required reading for American patriots.

Incredibly, at the stroke of midnight tonight, an obscure federal agency will enable the retirement savings of military men and women, past and present, and their civilian counterparts to be invested in companies controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.
Worse yet, the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board is not going to warn the participants in its Thrift Savings Plan that they are making such investments.
What could possibly go wrong?
Well, for starters, in the words of one of America’s most storied warriors, Lieutenant General William “Jerry” Boykin, this action is tantamount to “treacherous sedition.” He and five other influential retired military leaders wrote the Board last week declaring, “The government of the United States should be precluding any underwriting of the CCP’s ominous military build-up and human rights abuses, not legitimating and facilitating them.”
