President Biden will call his “old friend,” Chinese Communist dictator Xi Jinping, today conveying – implicitly if not explicitly – an expectation that America thinks Xi can be persuaded to be helpful with Russia, climate change and perhaps other topics.
Sorry, wrong number.
There is literally no chance that the Chinese Communist Party will actually assist the United States on anything. Oh, Xi may tell Biden he’ll see what he can do, or even promise to mediate. But his interest lies with undermining America and its priorities, not supporting them – especially at the expense of his Russian strategic partner or economic growth that depends on despoiling the environment.
Even asking for the CCP’s help will embolden Xi. If anything, he can be expected to dictate terms to Joe Biden, a man his intelligence services have deeply corrupted and compromised.
Wrong number, indeed.

As Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky continued making his rounds of Western legislatures with virtual speeches to a joint session of Congress yesterday and the German Bundestag today, he seemed to have scored at least one potentially significant victory. President Biden has joined him in declaring Russian dictator Vladimir Putin a “war criminal.”
The International Criminal Court has already opened an investigation into the ongoing, and still-intensifying, crimes against humanity Putin is inflicting on innocent civilians, refugees and others in Ukraine. At present, however, he seems unlikely to stand trial, let alone be punished.
Putin’s designation as a war criminal, however, could have an important knock-on effect, though. His ally, Communist China’s Xi Jinping, must be put on notice: Those enabling Putin’s crimes by violating international sanctions on Russian energy sales, resupplying the Kremlin’s arsenal, etc., will be deemed accomplices, and treated accordingly.

Donald Trump promised we were going to “get tired of winning.” Now, I, for one, am tired of America losing.
The latest in a long and growing list of losses devastating our national prestige, honor, prosperity and other vital interests, is the reported deal whereby Communist China will begin buying Saudi oil in its currency, not dollars. That would be an ominous milestone in the transformation of the PRC into the world’s hegemon, whose protection and economic ties nations find more reliable – and necessary – than ours.
A hard reality must now be confronted: The cumulative effect of the wrecking operation the Biden-Harris administration has conducted is a pattern of wins for our mortal enemy: the Chinese Communist Party. There’s no sign that its dictator, Xi Jinping, has gotten tired of winning. Or that Team Biden is going to stop helping him do so.

There’s much talk of a “Great Reset” favored by global capitalists more or less unapologetically admiring of the efficiency of the Chinese Communist Party. The day’s headlines demonstrate that what is needed instead is a “Freedom Reset.”
A CCP virus-justified lockdown of China’s key manufacturing hub in Shenzhen underscores the dangerous folly of supply-chain dependencies in the name of “engagement” with the People’s Republic. Deep sell-offs of Chinese stocks over concerns about, among other things, capricious government regulations and interference, is a warning against U.S. investments in them. And the prospect that Xi Jinping will help bail out his ally, Vladimir Putin, suggests worse is to come.
That’s especially so if U.S. states – including Republican-run ones – introduce China’s odious social credit system for surveilling and controlling their people in the guise of digital health cards. Join us in opposing them at StopVaxPassports.org.

The reason Presidents Reagan and Trump practiced the national security policy they called “peace through strength” is that it works. Alternatives, like Joe Biden’s – which might be called “peace through groveling” – never has.
Look no further than Team Biden’s maniacal pursuit of a new nuclear deal with the mullahs of Iran. There appears to be no limit to the concessions and humiliations the Iranian regime is prepared to demand – and that Biden and Company are willing to accommodate.
Even a salvo of ballistic missiles launched from Iran into the immediate vicinity of a U.S. consulate in Iraq is no impediment to further appeasement in the name of preventing Tehran from getting The Bomb.
Unfortunately, there is no hope – none – that ayatollahs committed for over four decades to bringing “Death to America” will forego the most efficient means of inflicting it.
Enough already.

Vladimir Putin’s forces have attacked Ukraine’s nuclear power plants, including the one synonymous with radioactive disasters: Chernobyl. At particular risk are cooling ponds for spent fuel rods that, if denied electricity to circulate cold water, will see those rods torch-on, spreading radioactivity for many miles downwind and downstream.
Unfortunately, we face a similar danger at scores of nuclear power facilities here at home.
If our electric grid goes down and stays down, containment vessels should preclude radioactive releases from U.S. nuclear reactors. But once co-located emergency generators run out of fuel, the rods in their uncontained cooling ponds will catch fire, creating Fukashimas across America.
For eleven years, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has failed to act on a proposal to provide resilient and cost-effective emergency cooling for these storage sites. Join us in urging them to get that done now at SecuretheGrid.com.

In a world in which tyranny is on the march from Ukraine to China to Latin America, there was an important victory for freedom yesterday. The people of South Korea rejected the presidential candidacy of a pro-North Korea, anti-America Communist.
Instead, they elected his conservative opponent, Yoon Suk Yeol, who has pledged to strengthen his country’s alliance with the United States, rebuild its ties with Japan and enhance its defenses against growing threats from North Korea and China.
The question occurs: Will the lame-duck leftist President Moon Jae-in use his remaining weeks in office to redouble his policy of appeasing North Korea that has been formally repudiated by the electorate? Not only would such a gambit be at odds with popular sentiment. It could embolden tyrants in Pyongyang and Beijing to take advantage of the transition to advance their territorial ambitions.

Vice President Kamala Harris has been dispatched to buck up our NATO partners on the alliance’s eastern front lines. The effect is likely to be further signs of diminished confidence in the United States and slip-sliding away from confrontation with Vladimir Putin’s Russia over Ukraine.
For example, on the eve of Harris’ trip to Poland, Warsaw offered to send 28 of its old Soviet MiG-29 fighter jets to a U.S. air base in Germany in exchange for more modern American ones. Washington has nixed the idea, declining to transfer the MiGs onward to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Germany has refused to end its perilous dependence on Russian energy imports. With the Ukrainians negotiating what sounds like their inevitable surrender to Putin, expect more such fractures in NATO’s “united” front – especially in the wake of Kamala Harris’ practice of off-putting and incompetent diplomacy.

A plausible argument can be made that environmental zealots like Greta Thunberg, the poster-girl of a Children’s Crusade aimed at weaning the world off fossil fuels, helped create today’s soaring energy prices. Western nations are contemplating intensifying this crisis by ending imports from the principal beneficiary of such “green” activism – and one of its sponsors, Vladimir Putin’s Russia.
Such a cut-off could actually advance the “Green New Deal” agenda – namely, making oil, natural gas and their by-products prohibitively expensive. If the predictable economic train-wreck that would follow is to be avoided, sources and quantities of supply in Europe and here are going to have to be greatly diversified and expanded. Read, reversing virtually all of Joe Biden’s ideologically driven energy policies.
That includes avoiding creating new – and perilous – supply chain dependencies on Communist China for so-called “renewable” solar, wind and battery technologies.

Tomorrow, yet another vital nation may be lost if the people of South Korea decide to elect a pro-North Korea, anti-America Communist as their next president. Or alternatively, if, despite the majority’s preference for his pro-freedom, conservative opponent, this election – like the parliamentary ones of 2020 – winds up fraudulently giving victory to the radical left.
Either way, the outcome would be a further blow to America’s strategic position in the world – and boon to Communist China’s.
Coming on the heels of the loss of Peru, Afghanistan, Chile and Ukraine in the past year, and the prospect that U.S. allies may be voted out in Colombia and Brazil in the next few months, our enemies will surely be further emboldened and our remaining friends destabilized.
A generation ago, the question was “Who lost China?” Today, it will be: “Who lost the Free World?”
