  • Compromised Personnel Is Bad Policy
If, as Ronald Reagan contended, “Personnel is policy,” the Biden-Harris administration’ wrecking-operation is being relentlessly locked into place by the people being appointed and confirmed to top government posts.
For example, virtually every senior official involved with U.S.-China relations has compromising dealings or ties to the Chinese Communist Party. That’s a problem for U.S. policy. It’s also emboldening our mortal enemy, the CCP – as Beijing’s representatives made contemptuously clear in recent meetings with top Biden appointees in Alaska.
The Senate will shortly consider the latest addition to this dubious roster: Colin Kahl, the nominee for the Pentagon’s top policy job. Kahl has longstanding ties to Peking University, which American intelligence regards as a prime locus of CCP recruitment of foreign nationals.
Senators must stop enabling the Biden team’s dangerous policies by rejecting, not confirming, such problematic personnel.

  • "Just the Facts, Ma'am" About Boulder
The latest mass murder in Boulder rebuts a number of the nostrums of the day, rather than affirms them.
First, the gunman appears to be a jihadist, not a white supremacist. While the shooter, Ahmad al-Issa, had reportedly been identified by the FBI as a potential threat, sadly he didn’t fit the profile of the purported “domestic terrorists” and “violent extremists” with whom the bureau is evidently preoccupied, namely Caucasian Trump-supporters.
If, as some insist, the shooting was racially motivated, it doesn’t jive with the dominant narrative of the moment, either. While likely simply a product of jihadism, if racism prompted the murder of ten white victims presumably it’s been encouraged by incessant denunciations of whites and their so-called “privilege.”
Equally counterfactual is the idea that disarming law-abiding citizens would prevent such criminal conduct. It won’t and we must not.

  • Public Service at Regent U - Truth-telling About Election Integrity
Former Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has long courageously championed our constitutional Republic. But, today may see her finest hour as the host of a Regent University webinar on election integrity.
The program will enable, at last, an informed public review of the evidence of electoral grand larceny in the last presidential race. Participants include: Dr. Ben Carson, Mark Steyn and official and private sector election experts.
Today’s webinar will not only expose fatal flaws in a past election. The speakers will also illuminate how pending Senate legislation would codify and impose nationally the 2020 race’s myriad procedural defects, precluding free and fair elections from now on.
Catch the webinar at Regent.edu/electionintegrity. Then, tell your Senators how you feel about S.1, legislation that would ensure every future election is compromised like the 2020 one.

  • Mayorkas Lies About Biden's Ballot-Harvesting Border Crisis
Alejandro Mayorkas is the new Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Until yesterday, he was best known for his scandalous misconduct facilitating visas for politically-connected Chinese migrants when he was Barack Obama’s director of Customs and Border Protection.
After Mayorkas made the rounds of this Sunday’s TV talk shows, however, his reputation will be further marred by the spate of lies he told about the border crisis the Biden administration has created. These included denying there is such a crisis and insisting that the border is as secure as under Donald Trump.
The truth is the new administration’s disastrous and inhumane immigration policy has one overarching objective: Let in as many prospective Democratic voters as possible. It’s no coincidence that Biden and Company are simultaneously pushing dangerous legislation through Congress that will enable such illegal aliens to become illegal voters, too.

  • Biden's Kow-Towing Encourages the CCP's Aggression
Americans were treated yesterday to a rhetorical brawl between U.S. and Chinese officials in Alaska. Unfortunately, we better get used to it because the Biden team’s relatively robust words are not backed up by action.
Instead, the President insists on deflecting attention from the most serious threat ever – namely that posed by the Chinese Communist Party – by focusing on Vladimir Putin’s Russia. Worse yet, he’s making a series of substantive concessions to Beijing, including downplaying China’s role in the Covid pandemic and fudging on whether its genocide against the Uighurs is ongoing.
The Chinese Communists are responding ever-more-aggressively to such perceived appeasement and to their interlocutors who are responsible for it – individuals, from the President on down, who they have compromised or know are sympathetic to China’s “rise.”
We better disabuse the CCP of such dangerous notions, not encourage them.

  • Reject the "Corrupt Politicians Act"
The U.S. Senate will soon consider S.1, a bill that would impose, nationally and permanently, voting arrangements proven to facilitate electoral fraud. Officially known as the “For the People Act,” this fatally flawed legislation has earned a new nickname: “The Corrupt Politicians Act.”
Your Senators should feel duty-bound to oppose this egregious bill by the oath they swore to protect and defend the Constitution. But here’s another, perhaps more compelling, consideration: Recent opinion surveys indicate that the damage S.1 would do to electoral integrity is overwhelmingly opposed by the American people.
For example, this legislation would prohibit every state from employing a widely practiced election integrity precaution, namely, requiring voter identification to cast a ballot. A new Polling Company poll found that seventy-seven percent of respondents – with majorities in every demographic subgroup – quite sensibly reject this idea.
    So must their Senators.

  • Pray Nuclear Deterrence Works in the US Senate
Moves to limit or abandon a mechanism for ensuring the U.S. Senate’s minority party can shape legislation have long been known as “the nuclear option.” That’s because the legislative filibuster keeps Congress’ upper chamber from operating like the House of Representatives, where a simple majority governs, and its demise would figuratively “blow up” the Senate as we have known it.
Yesterday, amid signs that the Senate’s slimmest possible majority is poised to end or create exceptions to the legislative filibuster, Republican leader Mitch McConnell unveiled what might be called a “nuclear deterrent”: the threat to use procedural measures to slow the chamber’s business to a crawl. He calls it a “scorched-earth Senate.”
Immediately at issue is S.1, legislation that would preclude free and fair elections in this country. Let us pray that Sen. McConnell succeeds in deterring its party-line enactment.

  • Will the Senate Finish Off Our Republic?
It’s becoming conventional wisdom that the Biden-Harris administration and its radical leftist congressional allies are alarmingly overreaching.
Consequently, Republicans assure us that they will win the 2022 elections and quickly reverse the outrages swiftly being put into place by the current, slender Democratic majority.
There’s just one problem with this scenario: The so-called “For the People Act,” better known as H.R.1 in the House and S.1 in the Senate, will – if enacted – preclude free and fair elections in America, next year and probably forever after. Making national and permanent the voting arrangements that brought us the disastrous 2020 presidential balloting is a formula for the demise of our constitutional Republic.
If you don’t want to live in an effectively one-party – and increasingly totalitarian – nation, you must let your Senators know now how you feel about S.1. Or kiss the country goodbye.

  • Know Thy Enemy - Study the CCP's War Against Us
Biden administration officials are holding important meetings this month that present much-needed opportunities to address the growing threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party.
A lot is riding on these conversations. The read-out from one the President held Friday with key allied leaders was not encouraging. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan signaled that it wasn’t about their common adversary: the CCP. Instead, the discussion focused on managing the pandemic it unleashed on all of us, Burma and climate change.
The Chinese Communists are likely to perceive such consultations as confirmation that the Biden team will submit to China’s ascendancy. Before they meet with Chinese counterparts this week in Alaska, American officials should review a powerful 2-hour TV special about the CCP’s war against us that Steve Bannon and I co-hosted on Saturday. I urge you to do the same at BannonsWarRoom.com

  • Don't Patronize - or Abuse - Us, Mr. President
The patronizing attitude of the Biden administration and its allies on Capitol Hill was on display in the President’s first address to the nation last night. It focused on the Covid-19 pandemic and the main theme was what the good boys and girls in America need to do to live something approximating normal lives, including, for example, enjoying a Fourth of July celebration.
Mr. Biden’s answer, children, is to obey the good Dr. Fauci’s orders. And, right now, that means taking your medicine – specifically, your vaccine. As soon as possible and no questions asked. Unsaid, but certainly implied, is the prospect that the purported grown-ups in Washington will soon start compelling us to take the vaccine by imposing penalties for not doing so.
If we don’t want to be treated – and possibly abused – like submissive children, we better reject such ominous condescension.
