The fact that a majority of House Democrats would vote to impeach the President of the United States is a travesty. They cannot identify a criminal action that would warrant his removal. They insist on ignoring abundant exculpatory evidence deliberately excluded from the record compiled in the course of what amounted to a Stalinist show trial.  And they are indifferent to the terrible precedent this practice establishes for future presidencies.

As a result, the U.S. House of Representatives has been reduced from the “people’s house” to an instrument of naked political warfare, pure and simple. Those responsible deserve to be repudiated by the American electorate and may well be come November.

Given this appalling travesty, the United States Senate should vote on a bipartisan basis not only to acquit President Trump but to reject the miscarriage of justice employed to impeach him.

Tomorrow, the U.S. House of Representatives is scheduled to vote to impeach Donald Trump. All other things being equal, it appears that enough Democrats will concur.  

All other things must not be equal, however. Every legislator is now on notice that – should they cast votes on the basis exclusively of the information curated, distorted and manufactured by Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff – they will be violating their oaths of office, not as the Democrats claim, courageously fulfilling them.

One America News Network obtained first-hand testimony from Ukrainian witnesses Schiff chose not to call. Under questioning by Rudy Giuliani, a former federal prosecutor retained as Mr. Trump’s personal lawyer, it’s clear impeachable bribery occurred, alright – but it was Joe Biden who engaged in it, not the President.

The facts at OANN.com must inform tomorrow’s vote. Otherwise, it will be a miscarriage of justice.

President Trump has secured a “Phase One” trade deal with Communist China. In exchange for promises of large Chinese purchases of U.S. agricultural products, some American tariffs are going to be foregone, others reduced. Wall Street is thrilled, seeing this accord as a pretext for making more money subsidizing Beijing. 

Nearly simultaneously, however, PRC Foreign Minister Wang Yi denounced the United States as the “troublemaker of the world” asserting that we had “launched deliberate attacks and defamation” against China over its “territorial sovereignty, national dignity and core interests” in a manner that’s “almost paranoid.”

We’ll see whether the new accord actually produces an economic windfall for American farmers and importers, let alone conduces to a Phase Two agreement that achieves the needed structural reform in China. What is clear, though, is that Phase One relieves pressure on an increasingly hostile and dangerous adversary.

The people of the United Kingdom have spoken – and done so decisively. They have powerfully affirmed Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s promise to get Brexit done at last and given him the huge majority in Parliament needed to do that.

No less impressive than his mandate, though, was the British voters’ stunning repudiation of Jeremy Corbyn, the radical leftist and anti-Semite who led the Labor Party to its worst electoral showing since the 1930s.

It remains to be seen how fast Boris will extricate his country from the European Union and whether its own union with pro-“Remainers” in Scotland and Northern Ireland will be sundered in the process.

This much seems clear, however: A restoration of British sovereignty will be good for the “special” U.S.-U.K. relationship – and an encouragement to millions of Americans equally hostile to socialism and other threats to freedom.

Last night, the House Judiciary Committee demonstrated the true character of the Democrats’ campaign to impeach President Trump: It amounts to political warfare, pure and simple. Hence the decision to start the process of marking up the articles of impeachment orchestrated for prime-time television viewing, rather than normal business hours.

This impetus behind the ongoing, appalling miscarriage of justice in the House has been made more obvious by the articles of impeachment themselves. They do not detail actual, specific criminal presidential misconduct. And several of the crimes that had, until recently, been alleged – notably bribery and treason – are not even mentioned.

Are Democrats in districts that Donald Trump carried in 2016 really willing to go along with what is now transparently nothing more than an effort to negate their constituents’ votes? If not, will Nancy Pelosi shamefully compel them they do so?

House Democrats increasingly justify the imminent impeachment of Donald Trump on the grounds that he damaged “national security” because he allegedly impeded the flow of U.S. military assistance to Ukraine.

This is a Big Lie. Adolf Hitler and his Nazis used the technique to manipulate public perceptions by insistently repeating “colossal” untruths. 

Ironically, those most prominently perpetrating today’s big lie have historically been strikingly disinterested in national security. Their present passion seems cynically political, not authentic.

While giving Ukraine the wherewithal to defend itself against Russian invaders may not be a national security imperative, it is a good idea. President Trump deserves credit – rather than impeachment – for having repeatedly approved it, whereas his predecessor adamantly refused to do so.

No Democrat is proposing to impeach Barack Obama post-presidency for thus harming the national security. None should use that pretext for impeaching his successor.

The Chinese Communist Party is rolling out its so-called “Social Credit System.” As Bill Gertz reports in the Washington Times, “China is developing a new high-tech system of mass surveillance and coercion aimed suppressing political dissent among its 1.4 billion people, while forcing American and Western businesses to conform to the government’s communist policies if they want to operate there.”

Ominously, this super-Orwellian means of oppression is not intended just for those living and doing business in China. It is being made available for export to the PRC’s fellow totalitarians elsewhere.

Hikvision is one of the Chinese Communists’ suppliers of the technology that enables the Social Credit System.  It is, consequently, illegal for Americans to do business with that company. Yet, incredibly, Wall Street is causing millions of us – including shortly government employees – to invest in it. That must stop.

At the Reagan Library last weekend, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos expressed concern about the national security of the United States and derided those in the business community who fail to understand, as he put it, “We are the good guys.”

Bezos warned that “If Big Tech is going to turn their back on national defense, this country is in trouble.” In fact, Google, for example, is not only refusing to work with the Pentagon. It is actually helping the Chinese Communist Party advance its military, as well as commercial, capabilities.

Cynics contend that the Amazon chief is simply trying to burnish his credentials as he challenges a recent $10 billion Pentagon award to rival Microsoft. We’ll see. But his expressed concerns about our declining innovation and rising threats in space and elsewhere from China are most needed, and must be heeded.

American military forces last month intercepted a vessel attempting to deliver guided missile equipment from Iran to Houthi rebels in Yemen, offering fresh confirmation of the mullahs’ ongoing, threatening and destabilizing behavior in the Mideast – and beyond.

Meanwhile, the regime in Tehran is frantically trying to suppress increasing opposition within its own borders. It has taken to murderously firing from helicopters on crowds seeking an end to that Sharia-supremacist theocracy’s  repression and corruption. The people of Iran seek our help.

President Trump deserves credit for ending the Obama-era nuclear deal that legitimated and enriched the Iranain regime. His “maximum pressure” sanctions campaign has substantially cratered its economy and dried up funds for some of its most ominous projects. And in London this week, he forthrightly expressed solidarity with the Iranian people.

Now we must amp up our support for their liberation.

Yesterday, Democratic legislators prominently featured Harvard law professor Noah Feldman as an authority on the U.S. Constitution in its effort to remove Donald Trump from office.

It’s bad enough that Feldman revealed himself to be disqualifying obsessed with impeaching the President, including for some of his Tweets. Worse still, Feldman’s specialty is actually promoting the Islamic totalitarian political, military and legal code known as Sharia.

Feldman has shilled relentlessly for the supremacist agenda of the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamists. He even helped foist Sharia-compliance on the Iraqi people in their post-liberation constitution.

You can bet that Noah Feldman’s Sharia-adherent friends are, like House Democrats, very keen to see the coup against our duly elected President succeed. The more the American people learn about the perpetrators’ true motives and highly problematic judgment, though, the more certain we can be that it won’t.
