Our very first TRIP REPORT!  Where we're not just hearing from the experts, but people just like us, who have experienced the life changing benefits of psychedelics first hand.

Let's talk about sex!  With Cyndi Darnell.  A clinical and somatic sexologist and author of Sex, When You Don't Feel Like It: The Truth About Mismatched Libido & Rediscovering Desire.  Originally from Australia, she is now based in New York City where where she runs a global consulting practice to clients worldwide.  A psychotherapist by training, Cyndi currently supports individuals, couples and polycules navigating relationships and sexual difficulties, plus professional mentorship and case consultations to clinicians and sexologists worldwide seeking to deepen their understanding of the links between psychotherapy, sexology, relationships work and somatic practice.  She's a Clinical Associate of Pink Therapy UK & Board Affiliate for University of Wisconsin STOUT Sex Therapy Certification Program.

Her podcast The Erotic Philosopher brings guests of diverse backgrounds together to explore issues affecting modern sex and relationships.  Her numerous academic works are published in Journal of Sexual & Relationship Therapy and Journal of Sex Education among others.  Her expert opinion is frequently sought by media outlets worldwide.

This is definitely one of those episodes where Christine and Leah get a little uncomfy in a conversation that should be more normalized and comfortable, especially when talking to your partner!

Aaron shares his journey of self-discovery, which began with a life-changing LSD trip that allowed him to connect with himself in ways he never thought possible. Kallie Klug, a fellow people pleaser in recovery, is a certified yoga instructor and somatic practitioner based in Orange County, California.  She studied traditional yoga, breathwork, and meditation in the Himalayas of India, and has continuing education certifications in therapeutic yoga, somatic parts work, and integrative somatic trauma therapy.

Through somatic psychology, yoga, and embodiment, she helps support her clients into empowerment and freedom, where they were once stuck in shame and self-doubt.  She explains to us how intentional movement is not only healing physically, but emotionally as well.  She teaches us about glimmers vs triggers, and how to find them in our day to day.

An interview Christine has been dying to have!  She takes the reigns on this one and has Jason in the hot seat.

If you're new here, Jason is Leah's husband.  Who also happens to be a recovering alcoholic and addict with 21 months of sobriety under his belt.  Christine digs straight in and doesn't hold back.  But neither does Jason.

We find out when the drinking started.  When it went from being 'fun' to almost destroying a marriage and family.  But this didn't just start at the beginning of their 17 year relationship, or even at Jason's first drink.  Growing up without his dad, who was also an alcoholic, and both Leah and Jason growing up without healthy relationship role models is where this all started.  What used to be a fun way to connect, slowly turned into an escape that seemed impossible to stop. Alcohol Use Disorder is a spectrum and not what most people assume alcoholism looks like.

Before Jason decided to stay sober, he admits Leah's journey to healing annoyed him.  But his rock bottom came after he did a heroic journey and was able to finally SEE that his addiction had an effect on the people he loved.  With a healthy support system and some new tools, (AA, his sponsor, a psychiatrist, a wife who is also healing, and the use of psilocybin) Jason has been able to stay sober.  But it wasn't always easy.  In fact, getting sober brought allllllll the issues they had as a couple to the surface and it was impossible to continue to ignore them.  He burned the house down.  But over the last 2 years, Jason and Leah have learned to build a better house, on a new foundation.
