This week Reina Lombardi, ATR-BC, ATCS, LMHC-QS, shares the favorite books that she uses in her art therapy practice when working with children.
The Invisible String by Patrice Karst- this is the perfect book for kids struggling with grief and separation.
All Dogs have ADHD, All Birds Have Anxiety and All Cats have Aspergers Syndrome by Kathy Hoopman. This charming book series engages kids of all ages with it’s photographs of adorable animals. Great for starting conversations about which of the characteristics identified in the animals feel true to the child.
Dinosour’s Divorce by Marc Brown has been a staple in therapists’ offices for many years. Reina tells us why this book is still relevant today in her work with kids.
